Office 2013 is now transferable:

You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you, but not more than one time every 90 days (except due to hardware failure, in which case you may transfer sooner).
If you transfer the software to another computer, that other computer becomes the "licensed computer."
You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement before the transfer.
Any time you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer and you may not retain any copies.

Other Thoughts: Heads up for students in case you already didnt know, DO NOT SHELL OUT THE CASH TO BUY THIS. Most major universities (if you attend a community college they probably do too just check) have a deal with Microsoft and other companies to offer their students various software for FREE or at HUGE DISCOUNTS. I never paid for office while I was in school and to upgrade to windows 7 it was $25 for 64 bit pro edition. I was able to get adobe creative suite for around $635.00. There was a bunch of different programs I could download for free as well if I wanted or needed it. Check with your tech store on campus, IT website, search for it on the schools 'current student' page, etc. Your academic advisor will probably know if they do or not as well if you're having issues finding it. 3 out of 12 people found this review helpful. Other Thoughts: Although I've only been using this latest version for about a week I'm not seeing the advantage in upgrading from Home & Student 2010. I'm a heavy user of OneNote, Word, and Excel and an occasional user of Powerpoint. Unless I upgrade my laptop or desk monitor to touch in the future so that I can take advantage of the touch functionality, I think I just wasted about $100. 5 out of 15 people found this review helpful.
