5 out of 5 eggsAdjusting

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 32-bit

Pros: After the dust settled, and the update to 8.1 has been released, the operating system flows quite nicely. Finding out how things are laid out begins to make sense, and very little adjustment is needed to become a power user.

Cons: Wish there was a tutorial that helped explain the location of some of the "needed" components that an advanced user typically uses -but I guess that would take away some of the fun of locating some of the new features.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a MS fanboy, but, it's about time Microsoft designed a user-friendly experience with a cross platform design/purpose. Makes the OS X and iOS look a little silly.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 32-bit

Pros: This is a Fantastic System you get a lot of cool apps for free. And a lot faster than XP I love it you really get W8 and W7 together this is not like XP at all which is fine to me. I have W7 in 2 PC's but it too much like XP it's fine But What you get in W8 I think this OS is a Steal .New is what I want and this is IT. A great learning experience. I'm a GEEK

Cons: If you are NOT a really true Geek then this is not for you if you plan on getting a Touch Screen then this is for you. Micro really doesn't explain how to use W8 it is a learning on your own that is what I like and many won't.

Other Thoughts: I did the Download at 40$ for the 32 and 55 $ you get Both 32 64 bit Disc. PRO. Or you could buy now for 70$ and do the Disc later you still got the 32 an 64 bit Pro. And I bought 4 of them for later on last year. There 200 $ Now.

1 out of 5 eggspoor service from NewEgg

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 32-bit

Pros: great operating system once you tweak it to act like windows 7. Boots fast.

Cons: I got a misprinted key code that would not activate and it took more than TWO WEEKS of back-and-forth email and phone calls to finally send me a serial number that would activate.

2 out of 5 eggsWindows Apps Spam

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 32-bit

Pros: Very fast, works great with SSD's.

Cons: Windows Apps are loaded with spam-ware. After installing windows 8 & 8.1, I noticed when I was browsing at different websites and looking at things to buy, that those same items I had just looked at would follow me all over the internet in little windows at other websites. At first I thought it was my browser, but I was wrong. It was my Windows 8 Apps! I had been reading about the trouble with Apps, so I decided to turn all of them off and uninstall them. After that I was no longer being followed around the internet by little Spam windows. Apparently Microsoft is in the Spam business now because even a clean install would do the same thing. Shame on you Microsoft, you have crossed the line! You can not be trusted anymore.

Other Thoughts: Fortunately you can turn off the Windows generated spam by turning off Apps and the Apps Updates & uninstall them. Now I have a clean operating system.
