5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its a 64-bit and comes in a slim envelope (easy storage) vs the big massive box.

Cons: Because of the slim envelope, easier to misplace maybe.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent OS

Pros: Includes the bug fixes from Windows XP, does not include the bugs from Windows 8.

Cons: It's still Windows, and has some issues, most of which are minor.

Other Thoughts: Much better than Windows 8.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: I have had windows xp and finally pulled the trigger to get Windows 7 because some programs were saying that I had to upgrade because xp was not going to be supported by windows any more, So I got it and am very happy, it is very stable just like windows xp.

Cons: No cons so far, it picked up all my devices for my old computer, no driver installs were needed. Wow a first for me, haha.

Other Thoughts: A solid OS by Microsoft, not to sure about Windows 8 though, will stick with 7 as long as I can before another upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: It's Windows 7.
Best MS operating system to date.

Cons: Activation key on COA sticker hard to read.
Price.

Other Thoughts: Installed on a new Gigabyte H81M-HD2 board with no hassles.

Only needed the Ethernet driver from the mobo CD. Everything else worked.

Pricey for an OS that is one version behind - but they know we want it and will pay for it.

2 out of 5 eggsInclude magnifying glass?

Pros: It's pricey... As expected, but it was fast to install. I'm not a big fan of Windows, but I find myself too lazy to figure out Linux... So it's a give give... Overall I'm happy, but my wallet is thinner.
Glad Microsoft's shenanigans paid off to scare people into upgrading their OS after 10 years of "SECURITY"! Proud owner of something I'm less familiar with, and probably more at risk!

Cons: Where's the Magnifying glass? H**Y C**P, just write the COA in Greek, then only a few can utilize it! As a Computer tech, my eyes are TIRED from the constant screen strain, now you too want to play a role in blindness?

Since Windows 1.0, 3.0, 3.11, Win95, Win98, Win98 SE, Win ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8... Let's consider, we've paid $100 average for each upgrade (of beta software as it's always requiring updates, it's never a final product). $100 x 13 in what I've listed here... That doesn't include the server OS' that are a bit more in price. $1300... We don't get a price cut at any point???

Other Thoughts: As a Long term paying Beta user myself (as this OS was for a friend who also feels very much the same about this conversation), I myself have been a Windows user since Windows 3.0. Now I don't mind upgrading, but it's all the same pretty much, just more GUI and more security, more hardware demanding, more HDD space required, thus it gives us reasons to upgrade our 486's PC's finally, but dang really no Windows Free.0 Offering us a final product, and simple security, that ... Well someone would hack it... So I guess I understand... Hey it's just a thought! Just like Windows was when it all started! As my review may seem harsh, I'm overall happy with what Microsoft has provided us in the Computer Industry. Windows has really went a long way since it's start! My window only opens 1/2 way, where as yours has opened way more than entirely! :P

5 out of 5 eggs  Needed to recognize installed 32 GB RAM

Pros: Does what I needed it to do. Yeah, bought it only so it could recognize the additional 16 GB RAM installed. Game play and multitasking with various programs run smoothly now.

Cons: None. Got what I needed.

4 out of 5 eggsSeven-Pro...the way to go!

Pros: This is the business standard. It works well and is supported until 2020. It is the current standard that software is developed for. Much more feature rich in security than previous versions.

Cons: "feature rich in security" also means it is a little more diffucult to find the communication issue than XP was. Not really a bad con. The COA sticker is now microscopic. That is why I subtracted an egg. Microsoft, help me sell your product.....please and thank you.....make the COA bigger not smaller.

Other Thoughts: Microsoft will be dropping mainstream support (that means sales) of the product in Jan 2015. Microsoft should have come out with a Service Pack so that I don't have to install 160 patches on every new install. But, if they issue a service pack, they may have to extend support. So, let's just keep patching it is the attitude.
