5 out of 5 eggsHow To Remove Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32 Bit RAM Limit

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: 1- This will allow you to use as much RAM as your motherboard can handle

2- Some higher end graphics card manufacturers recommend at least 4 gig of RAM or more, so you'll not be limited in your future upgrades

3- This will allow your pc not to just recognize over 3.25 gig of RAM, BUT actually use it like a 64 bit OS

Cons: 1- This procedure is not included from Microsoft as part of Windows 7 32 bit OS (s)

2- Trying to decide which higher end graphics card you'll buy now LOL

Other Thoughts: So, how are you going to get that recognized and usable 4+ gigs of RAM ? Here is how:

1- First install at least 4 gigs or more of RAM (check your motherboard for RAM limitation)

2- click on your start button and in text box where it says: Search programs and files type: "cmd"

3- When cmd appears right click it "Run as administrator"

4- type: "BCDEdit/set PAE forceenable (space between set & PAE...space between PAE & forceenable)

5- Press enter key on your keyboard will read installation successful

6- Close out window

7- Reboot your pc (make sure it boots from patched version of windows)

8- go to youtube...type: "Enable more ram on 32-bit Windows 7 (PatchPae2, Batch)

9- Poster's name is "Furulevi....do exactly as his video says...patch links are there too

10- IF this is not in his video after you have ALL ram you want to use/patch applied...click the start button in the text box type "msconfig" right click it to run as administrator...select start tab ..select NON patched version of Windows 7...click delete tab...apply tab...ok tab...of course it requires a restart, so your pc will boot only from patched version of Windows 7

Currently my pc recognizes and uses *8 gigs of RAM with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32 Bit OS. Over the past year I have had NO issues whatsoever. All you need to do is follow order of how I posted these steps.

3 out of 5 eggsSpend the Extra Money

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: I really like Windows 7, if you need to upgrade to an older machine get the Pro version.
Works great with 2 Gb Ram

Cons: Had installation glitches in an older machine.

1 out of 5 eggsReal or not?

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: Windows 7 worked well for 30 days.

Cons: The coa being hard to read is bad enough but even after getting past that the code was not valid. Multiple phone calls later Windows has told me they can't help me and to contact my retailer. I'm absolutely frustrated.

3 out of 5 eggsoww

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: It works like Win 7 is meant to...

Cons: They did not provide a microscope to read the #$#$^#$^!!! COA!! MS should be charged for causing un-due eyestrain. thus 3 eggs. I mean... TINY PRINT.. on a mufti-color background? what's next? Print the COA on microdot?

Other Thoughts: Hard to read COA was the only flaw found.

1 out of 5 eggsIncorrect Product Key

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: Needed a 32 bit operating system to be able to run software on a 32 bit platform.

Cons: Newegg had the disk I was looking for.

Other Thoughts: Purchased a windows 7 32 bit disk, but the validation key was for a different version of windows. After several hours of trying to figure out the issue I contacted Microsoft and they verified the code sent with the disk was not correct. Spent $115.00 and got nothing but issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 Home 32bit OEM - it is what it is, nothing else

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: Windows 7 is pretty user friendly for those who are attached to Windows XP but not ready for Windows 8. Home edition for sure do everything you can do at your computing knowledge so don't worry. OEM version can be used for one computer only (otherwise, it will fail for the activation at the 2nd computer) but I bought this for a new system so it is fine with me. Installation is much easier than Windows XP, trust me.

Cons: Not really any since I knew (and you must know when you pay for an item) what I was buying. Things to consider: (1) 32-bit OS does not support RAM over 4 GB. (2) Again, this is OEM version, not retail. (3) It is funny how people exaggerated - the CD-key is small but just font size of you grocery store receipts.

Other Thoughts: Everyone, think straight, please. You are reading reviews for Windows 7 Home 32-bit OEM version. If someone complains here saying "this is not 64-bit", "this is not professional version", or "this is not retail version".... it is not worth reading the review I think.

3 out of 5 eggsProduct Key Nightmare

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: I purchased Win 7 because I am familiar and did not want Win 8 because of bad reviews.

Cons: The Product Key is nearly impossible to read. It is on a label, and the actual product key is on about a 1/2" x 1/2" area of the label. 8's & B's look alike as well as G's & 6's. I used magnifying glass, and finally took a photo so I could blow it up. I got about 20 different possibilities. Asked my wife and son to write down what they thought it was, but nothing worked. I called Microsoft, but they said they could not help since I bought from a third party. I called Newegg, and sent the photo to the rep. She gave me her interpretation and sent it over to the help department. Her version did not work, and later that evening, the Help Dept sent me an email with their version. Theirs did not work either, however, what everyone had thought was a 6 was actually a G. The last grouping started with a BB, and the help dept. said it was 8B. I tried everything like they had it and changed the 8B to BB, and it worked. I really thought I had wasted $111, but all is well. Thanks Microsoft for being so consumer friendly.

5 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 4 teh win

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit

Pros: I'll choose Windows 7 over Windows 8 any day. Only a clown would go for Windows 8. RIP XP. You've been around for a long time. All things must come to pass.

Cons: Uhhh, it wasn't free? Micro$oft needs to make their billions.

Other Thoughts: dudes and dudettes, don't be dumb. Go online and research how you can make a Windows 7 ANY version from your current one. Also, get your buddy's 64-bit Win 7 DVD and burn it to a Windows 7 ANY version 64-bit DVD. You can now install the 64-bit version with this key. The thing is Microsoft doesn't differentiate between 32-bit and 64-bit.
