3 out of 5 eggsOne great OS killed my microsoft

Pros: Pretty easy for anyone to use

It is compatible with everything

Feels like an xp refresh

Never crashes or freezes (my case at least)

Cons: Filled with what some would consider spyware

Never-ending windows 10 popup,

Downloaded windows 10 onto my ssd, wasting space (i turned off the auto update settings, it went ahead and downloaded it anyway)

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 is a very compatible and faster version of xp essentially. Microsoft decided to fill it with some borderline malicious tracking stuff for reason unknown to me. I really loved 7 it was a shame ms is trying to kill it with windows 10.

4 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 is still my favorite Microsoft operating system

Pros: Still better than 8 and 10 for my money.

Cons: I can't believe you pay 200$ for, lets be fair, an older OS, only to have the disc shipped in a cardboard envelope. I always feel ripped off when I have to pay for Windows and it comes packaged like a cheap demo. Also the constant, Windows 10 popup that it forces on your taskbar is an unforgivable offense in my mind. I paid (way more than I should have this many years after launch) and I can't disable ads? That is incredibly shady customer service in my mind. Some people don't want to go to 10 and you should respect the customer's wishes. This is a well known annoyance and to see Microsoft remaining firm on this is simply a reflection on what kind of company they are.

Other Thoughts: Tried Windows 10 and I have to pass. I'll keep 7.

1 out of 5 eggsWindows 7

Pros: - It works

Cons: - It's still Windows.
- I like 7 better than 8 or 10 and it keeps trying to force me into 10.
- It won't stop trying to get me to switch to 10.
- Windows is greedy
- Windows is a group of sellouts

Other Thoughts: If i had a choice I would never use windows ever again. It gobbles up ram, trys to boss me arround, and keep's trying to force me into Windows 10.

5 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 is the Best Iteration

Pros: The best iteration of windows to date. NO BSOD since I upgraded from the horrid Windows Vista, which I had to endure for far too long.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I regret not having upgraded far sooner!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's about time

Pros: After decades of consumers complaining Microsoft finally offered free Windows OS upgrades. Win7/Win8 to Win10. Still figuring out all the bells and whistles in Win10 but love it so far. My customers are extremely happy too that they don't have to keep buying a new OS every 2-3 years!

Cons: It's win7, a vast improvement over XP & Vista. Makes the entire Vista debacle seem like decades ago. Still a good OS if you want to run 7 w/o upgrading to 10.

Other Thoughts: wondering what is next on the horizon, win11/12, I'm not one of the people wasting money on office 360, I'll use openoffice org for free!

5 out of 5 eggsWin7 to Win10

Pros: Installed on an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming with an i7-6700 - booted fast and easy. Soon after, the Win10 upgrade offer came up. Am running Win10 now without problems. Upgrade had one slight hiccup though (see cons).

Cons: Win7 upgraded to Win10 quickly, but booted into Win10 with network drivers offline. All other drivers ok. I manually installed the network driver for Win10 and everything else is good with Win10 now.

Other Thoughts: I set a dual boot for two Win7's and still have to check if the license to the second Win7 partition is still valid after the first partition was upgraded to Win10. As a developer, we get pushed to go forward, but still need to support some of the back-current at the same time...

5 out of 5 eggsI love Windows 7

Pros: Best OS yet. Won't change to Windows 8 or 10 as long as there is support for this system.

Cons: Note that this edition of Windows gets tattooed at the motherboard level.

3 out of 5 eggsNot liking the OEM/ 16GIG limit rules

Pros: It is not Win 8 or 10. Does not turn my computer into a apps tablet
Not as much adware or spyware included

Cons: I didn't know this but do to licensing issues Windows 7 home Edition 64 OEM edition is limited to recognizing only 16 gigs of ram. Had to rebuy Win 7 Pro to use more than 16 gigs of ram.
Also, upgraded my motherboard and hard drive and can not reload this product. you can only load it once or not able to upgrade major components???

Other Thoughts: Had to purchase Win 7 Pro RETAIL version to get pass all this corp money grab mess. Really, there is no reason to limit it to 16GIGs, but to make people have to re-buy the product...
