Other Thoughts: I've been using AVG Free for years, I install it on all PC's I build and I recommend it to everyone. I wanted to support the company that has been so good to me for free so I decided to purchase a two year license. I though the free version was great, the pro version is much better.

Pros: Does what you need anti-virus and anti-spy-ware software to do, for a low price.

Cons: No utilities included.

Pros: Small footprint, gamer mode. Easy installation. Will not renew my webroot antivirus/spyware when it expires . Its cheaper than webroot for a 2 year sub. No best buy ads.

Cons: Former mcafee, norton and webroot user. Webroot was good, but got some sort of facebook issue when my daughter used my puter. AVG cleared it up webroot still didnt find it as of yesterday. I know each has its pros and cons.

Other Thoughts: granted not every AV gets everything but AVG cleared up my issue and Webroot now has a best buy advertisment on it because I renewed it there last year. Sticking with new egg and AVG for now.

Pros: 2 years 14.99 The best deal for anti virus etc.. on the market. Don't even bother to respond if you are going to mention Norton or McAfee.

Other Thoughts: I don't bother with other security software because I take care of my stuff. My gaming rig is just for gaming, and my other pc is for the rest. I have used it all for security and AVG is good enough without using precious resouces. At this price, 2 year service, its worth buying.

Pros: Avg offers the best value for AV out there. Their product is good, does it's job, and has a small footprint (doesn't use a lot of resource). Great deal for 2 year licenses. Recommended!

Other Thoughts: I had a hydra jacker really messing up my system and I tried the trial suite and AVG completely restored my OS beautifully! Then, NewEgg comes out with this deal $14.99 with promo code and free shipping - 2 year license!!!! thank you NE!!!!!

Pros: The AVG Antivirus + Antispyware does what it's suppose to do. The updates are daily to give you maximum protection from those nasty internet viruses, root-kits, etc. It even gives you warnings of potentially dangerous tracking cookies.

Cons: The scanning process takes awhile (depending on the scan settings), but my computer is somewhat obsolete (I have a slower processor)...so you might not have the same issue. I usually just set the time to scan at night when I'm asleep.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product. Furthermore, I will purchase another one whenever I buy another desktop or laptop.

Pros: Loads up in minutes and really seems to block and detect threats more so than AVG's free program. Doesn't seem to be slowing my PC down like some others that I have used in the past. The price is incredible as well!

Other Thoughts: I've been using AVG's free version of their anti-virus for many years. Yes, the computer magazines indicate that there may be one or two others out there for free that may work better than this. However, AVG has served me well for many years and when I tried the competition, they just didn't seem to stack up. This retail version came on sale for only 15 bones for a two year certification. I decided to grab it and see for myself if the paid version is any better. Yep, it does appear to grab even more stuff and protect my PC from the bad guys on the internet.

If you are seeking a really fine anti-virus etc all inclusive program then by all means hit the add to cart button for this AVG deal.

Pros: Gamer mode works great. Tested, and it works great.

Full system Virus scan in 25 seconds hands down with 875K @ 4Ghz with Two OCZ Turbo 30GB SSD drives in Raid 0.

Cons: I had to re-install it becuase when I first installed it, I set every single paranoid settings to MAX and shortly later AVG would crash constantly for a few days.

I re-installed and left all the settings at defualt and viola no-more crashing for me AT ALL, works great. Not messing with any settings anymore.

Other Thoughts: I bought this weekend deal buster becuase of the gamer mode feature. I was tired of manually shutting down AVG Free every time I played a game (For years) and now it automatically does this for me when I go to any full screen app.
