AVG Internet Security 2012 - 3 PCs

Pros: All parts other than firewall work fine

Cons: The Firewall is the worst in the history of firewalls. If u need to do anything other than go to basic website this software will block it. I had gone to every setting in the firewall and enabled it or set to allow for all networks and it still blocked the services or ports. I contact the support and India can understand you. Then they transfer u to advanced support but want to charge you 59.95 to fix the issue with their software. Never again will i purchase any product from AVG it was the worst support ever.

Other Thoughts: I would have given it a 0 egg if i could. Unfortunately already sent in a 10 mir so cant get a refund for this cra p software.

Pros: I have been using this product for about a year. I haven't experienced any issues. I also use it alongside Malwarebytes. If it slows your system down simply up your RAM.

Cons: None!!!

Pros: Fabulous protection. Great Price.

Cons: "Acceration" pop up, and "Memory Usage" pop up seem to interfere with other programs.

Cons: i bought this to renew mine when it ran out. which is 1 month from now but i already uninstalled it. Computer started crashing at odd times and really slowed down. Reformatted and was fine started installing programs which avg was the first one as soon as i got it installed on startup it slowed me down by about 45 seconds. Then when in windows it took another 45 seconds or longer for network to connect. finally took it of and put mse on it and no more problems.

Other Thoughts: I enjoy my 20 second boot time because of my SSD drive but installing this made it worthless as it added almost 2 minutes before i could use my machine. I looked at reviews online at a tech website they compared all the different av products and found only 1 was worse on slowing down your machine than avg. Look at the bright side at least it wasnt the worst just next to it. For now until avg fixes it im not activating it and if it isnt fixed b4 long will E bay it.

Pros: Will work

Cons: But not with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

My computer started freezing at times, when I installed both AVG and Malwarebytes.

Other Thoughts: I sent AVG back to newegg, but was refused a refund because of their software policy.

Buyers beware.

Pros: Bought for $45, then got $45 rebate. Why not?

Cons: none.

Pros: Does not slow computer down, has great features and catches everything.

Cons: Lol @win7;) by "free" upgrade the poster probably means they paid for it and got a MIR for the price they paid which means pretty much free.

Pros: Great deal i got for the price, Would have liked the 3PC - 2years as i purchased before.

Cons: They changed some stuff in 2012's GUI that i don't like, but am getting used too i guess.

Other Thoughts: @NotMine LoL at "free" upgrade that is not buying the software, but you comment on here like you did. Don't knock software you don't know how to run or use. And fyi the 2009 is way outdated i have the same disc you should have had 2011, 2012. They gave me a new key for the 2011 since i had a 2009 key. Good luck with that "different Vendor" no one software is the best, Hope you find one that works for ya.

Pros: In all the time i have had this and i used it for the last 4 years it has caught everything and not slowed down my computer at all.

Cons: Is only one year, every other time have bought this it has been 3 pcs and 2 years now it 3 pcs and 1 year with rebate is decent but should of stayed at two years.

Other Thoughts: After this year will use avg free and windows firewall, 2 years was a deal 1 year isnt worth it to me. I have a desktop and a laptop so will only use 2 of them give the other away but i dislike that they went down to 1 year. Also they dont put limit in specs so you can know before you buy.

Pros: Good program, has kept my computers safe so far. I have had AVG for several years now, and they keep improving the program as they go without raising price too much. As far as the parts that they want you to activate, they do not pop up on mine, they just stay there and wait for you to activate them. I have not activated them and there have been no problems.

Cons: NONE so far.

Other Thoughts: I will need to renew subscription in December and will do so, just hanging around for better prices as the time for renewal comes closer. Newegg is a great company to work with.
