Pros: Only uses about 178 MB of space on the hard drive. Has the following: *Anti-Virus *LinkScanner *E-mail Protection *Firewall *Anti-Rootkit *System Tools (shows all processes and connections) *PC Analyzer (Registry Errors, Defragment, data cleanup) *Identity Protection "monitors your processes for any activity that could lead to Identity theft"
Easy to install and, on my system at least, shows no noticeable sign of it slowing down my other programs.
all the features can be turned on or off as you see fit with various options on how you want it to handle potentially malicious data.
Cons: None so far. :)
Other Thoughts: I Certainly would recommend this to anyone looking for some quality security software.

Pros: Lightweight AV with good track record.
Cons: Came in a paper CD jacket instead of a case. Hardly an issue since I could just download and use the code had it been damaged. It was not damaged.
Other Thoughts: Used AVG free for years and have been very happy using it, decided it was time to reward them with a purchase.

Pros: The toolbar that searches all sites before you enter is great WHEN IT WORKS. I like the desktop dashboard, and it is fast and clean when scanning. I liked it better than Norton and the other programs I tried, but won't buy it again after it installed a flashing kernel that redirected all of my searched to "page not found" with the AVG search box prominently displayed (much like google on their page)
Cons: I tried the free upgraded version which is the same as this disc version. When it was over, the toolbar locked up the Firefox that it was installed on, and wouldn't let me search with firefox. I stopped using firefox, bought the disc, did a full uninstall, installed off the new disc and then still had a kernel that made firefox unusable. It would flash to the page I was searching for and then an AVG search page would come up with "Page not found". It didn't matter what the search, this happened, I uninstalled the toolbar, and now my firefox works fine. I couldn't even redirect to their help page to resolve the issue, so the uninstall was the only option. S.... Them for this.
Other Thoughts: When you offer a free program and insert a lockup code, you may get one year from someone, but you won't get any after that. I bought it because I liked it, and the toolbar was a plus, but I really don't feel like I should have root through my computer to find a freakin' kernel so that I can use all of your features. This was rated highly by CNN and others, and I loved it until dealing with their viral methods. When it is up after a year, I will fully uninstall, root out that unacceptable kernel, and go with someone else.
