Pros: After many years using various protective software, this has been the most effective program by far. Using the five different modules, my computer is running almost as fast as the day I loaded Windows. I am running a 250 gig SSD hardware and it now loads up in 30 seconds. Once you go through all the programs modules,which took me about 40 min., it now only takes 5 to 10 min for minor maintenance.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this product.
I will renew this product when the time comes.

Pros: Protection is good as any and it's nice to be able to use on many devices cross platform.

Cons: It needs to restart the computer periodically and offers several time spans but will not offer to shut down, nor will it accept a restart initiated by any other means than it's own message window. This means that you have to hang around and watch it finish in order to shut the computer down so one can go home. I've mentioned this problem many times to support but have not seen a chance in several years.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend any AVG product for business use primarily because of the restart issue. I have been a re-seller for over a decade but have lost much enthusiasm for their products in the last several years.

Cons: Had this for about a month. As of today AVG Ultimate quit working. Asks for a license number which according to the website doesn't exist. Can't get hold of AVG customer service and can't uninstall the program. So here I am with no protection. I will be holding AVG libel for any damage to my computer or information.

Pros: outstanding product keep my computer, laptop, android phones and tablet safe. Safe web browsing. You can clean, debug the other computer from one unit, amazing and its less than twenty dollars for TWO years. you cant beat that.

Other Thoughts: I bought the AVG Ultimate 2015 1-year boxed product in Feb 2015, but didn't get around to installing until Jul 2015 (on a Windows 7 laptop). Sometime around Sep/Oct 2015, I noticed it said it was expiring soon (which is 1 year from the RELEASE date), so I got only about 3 months out of it. I upgraded the laptop to Windows 10, hoping there might be some incompatibility with Windows 7 that would get fixed, but it still said it was expiring soon. Just before Thanksgiving, the AVG Ultimate 2016 2-year download product came out, so I purchased it, figuring the 2015 1-year period was from the release date, rather than the purchase or install date. I un-installed 2015 and installed 2016 on the Windows 10 laptop and did a fresh install on a Windows 7 laptop from another manufacturer. Both of them worked for only 30 days and refused to activate, despite showing as valid for the next 2 years in Zen. I called tech support and watched them poke around my Windows 10 laptop (remote Hamachi), re-installing a couple times and verifying the product was good in Zen, etc. After a good hour, they asked me turn of User Account Control and give them full administrator access to my machine, which I refused to do and gave up on it. (I'll be happy to re-install under their direction; I'm not handing over the keys to someone that clearly demonstrates being far less computer-savvy than I am.)

Pros: I may possibly have a little more experience than some, the entire transaction was a breeze, from my Windows systems (7 and 10), I never had a problem until a large windows 10 update.
Upon restart AVG notification claimed missing dll files and refused to start, upon replacement the program still would not start, or run.
The techs at AVG worked tirelessly to remove and replace the installation (one out of three pc's had the problem), they were kind, courteous and did an excellent job.
I am very well satisfied with the product, full protection,clean up and speeds up a computer nicely.

Pros: Good software program. Delivers on keeping problem issues controlled on computer.

Cons: Most difficult to download from your website. Very frustrating trying to find the right place to start from. Had to contact customer support. They walked me through to get to the download page. I would have never located this on my own. Had to spend about an hour with customer support before I was able to download. I have a 2-year download and my version now says I have less than 20 days on my subscription. Guess I will have to call customer support again. All too confusing and frustrating although customer support was very helpful.

Other Thoughts: It would be so much easier if a CD were provided to complete the download. I understand there is a cost involved with this but I believe the cost would outweigh all the extra time and effort needed to complete the download.
