Pros: This is my first MMORPG, I've been playing it for about 6 months and I love it. The game is pretty straight forward and easy to jump in and use without a lot of experience in the genre. I've tried a few other MMORPGs since I started playing LotRO, but none of them have stuck with me. I get annoyed by the graphics, controls, quest tracking, etc. and go back this one. I really like the Middle-Earth setting and storyline.
Graphics are great with out needing a monster machine to run it. My old PC had the ATI HD3200 onboard with a 2.4 dual-core AMD processor and I could run with graphics set on medium - while not striking by any means - it was very playable. My current system has an ATI HD4850 card and a 3.0 dual-core AMD and runs at very high (sometimes ultra high) pretty much all the time unless the server is under a very heavy load.
Cons: Many people have complained about the PvP, but I don't mess with it so it's a null point with me.
Occasional lag in the busy areas of the game - Bree and the 21st Hall in Moria.
Other Thoughts: The price for it here is super cheap, but be prepared to wait for a looong time for the patches and updates that came after the pressing of these discs to download after you install it - some people claim 12+ hours on slower connections LOL. For $5 it's quite the bargain if you have no interest in the Mirkwood expansion and don't mind waiting a while for the updates to DL. However, if you want Siege of Mirkwood just go ahead and purchase the entire game as a download from Turbine. Mirkwood is a digital download only anyways, and you will get the most up to date version of the game with minimal updates and patches upon first launch.

Rating: 5/5Great MMO
Pros: Great Game overall, the story line is very interesting compared to other games, I've never played WOW but other friends that have played it find this expansion including the first version an awesome buy...
The two new classes, (Rune-Keeper and the Warden) are awesome.
The graphics are amazing! Crystal Clear!!
Cons: I wish I had more time to play so I can level up on my Warden(new character)
Other Thoughts: With a good graphics card and lots of memory and a big screen or not...You will fall in love with this game either way!

Rating: 5/5Lotro is fun
Pros: expansion + original game + 30 days.. 2 new classes.. new endgame content, new item lvling system in high lvls. Game is a blast, lots of fun, good graphics.. smooth as pie Deed system is great, where you basically do quest / grinds for Lotro's version of "talent points"
Cons: *shrugs* not as hard core as some games, but a plus for me
Other Thoughts: I think this is a very very underated mmo.. as a causal player (i don't have 100's of hours to devote each month) suits me well. servers are lively after expansion.. definately worth it if Wow is not your cup of tea.. interface people say "is stolen from wow" but if you ever played asheron's call 2 (another turbine game) you would have seen Wow too ui from turbine (shrugs)
