Prevx Cloud Security 1 User Product Key Card (no media)

Pros: Cheap when on sale.

Cons: During an install of Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 on my XP system, Prevx was flagged by Kaspersky as "incompatible." Kaspersky gave me two choices: uninstall Prevx Cloud Security or proceed at my own risk. I proceeded at my own risk with both Kaspersky and Prevx and my system because unuseable.

Other Thoughts: When I unsuccessfully attempted to uninstall Previx using the uninstall option on the Previx menu, Previx started a scan of my system which did not end even after 4 hours. I shut my system down and my system became unstable.

Pros: Light weight, and quick

Cons: Missed some files that another free product removed.
Believe this is now also owned by Webroot

Other Thoughts: Cloud based protection, therefore strengths and weakness based upon this reliance

Pros: It works mostly

Cons: Prevx won't let me change it to my new machine. I'm not gonna buy another license.

Pros: Was able to get this on sale when it was 10 bucks, well spent money since I didn't have any anti-virus. I like how it has cloud security and it can scan your system for basically everything threatening to your computer

Pros: In the first place, I never care about antivirus because I use Linux and I have flash, javascript, and other runnable agent off my computer. However, I needed an antivirus for my kids computers.
Coming from an old school of the 80's where an antivirus is a software that the user control, I have selected McAfee. Yet, what a disaster. I though McAfee will protect the computer rather than to take control over the Windows registry and load the computer with useless interceptors using layers after layers of badly written software.
McAfee slowed the 4GB Win7 computer and make it useless.
Later I tried the famous Symantec (assuming it is the famous Norton of the 80's), it was as horrible as McAfee.
McAfee and Symantec control your computer and you may need either a hacker or ironically a PHD from a community college to remove them form your system.

PreVx is excellent, it is what McAfee used to be in the 80's to protect your PC.
You can control it, disable it, or remove it. IT IS SUPE

Cons: NONE.
REAL SIMPLE SOFTWARE TO PROTECT YOUR PC.

Other Thoughts: I hope the renewal version is not expensive.
Sometimes I wonder if McAfee and Symantec are the virus maker, these software make your computer as useless as having a virus.

Pros: Does not use a lot of resources. Good price compared to "Big Name" companies. Found problems other security products did not.

Other Thoughts: Need internet connection which is not a problem for me. Cloud keeps operation quick.
