5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: It just works, but go online get the latest drivers (a normal thing to do)
Had lots of isues with my various different onboard LAN solutions to a point that my Home Server backups failed all the time. I installed 3 of these in my 3 home PC's along with my home server and I am flying. Super fast throughputs, no disconnects....Fantastic....it solved all my issues

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great wtih OpenSolaris

Pros: Rock solid for multiGB transfers. 50+ Megabyte per second throughput

Cons: I didn't buy it first

Other Thoughts: I was having reliability issues with the Realtek controller using OpenSolaris for a networked video archive system. I needed to be able to sustain 50MB/s transfer rate for 100 GB transfers. After ditching the Realtek controller, this one provided just what I needed. Works great! It transfers 100 GB's daily with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWell...

Pros: This thing really made a huge difference. I know, I know, it says "server NIC" on the box and all, but it has what I wanted. My connection has been insanely solid and snappy compared to the on-board NIC I was using. Installation was painless and I *love* the diagnostic tools built into the drivers. They tell me my cable is healthy, my connection is strong and even how long the cable is! Just nice to have this.

Cons: None. Absolutely none. Even the price isn't a con for me. I am finding this NIC to be very much worth the price I paid for it.

Other Thoughts: Installed in an Asus P6T with 6GB RAM, Core i7 920 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. If you are considering this card, stop right there and order it now. You -WILL- be happy you got this.

Also... first NIC I have ever owned with a heatsink on it. ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for linux

Pros: Bought this card after installing ubuntu linux on a Dell PE 410T server and had issues with the broadcom on board nic. Inserted this card, booted the system, it recognized it and I was on the internet.

Cons: None but the price ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNewEgg needs to monitor these reviews

Pros: Card is great, plain and simple does what it's suppose to.

Cons: NewEgg needs to monitor these reviews more closely. The review by Jync should be discarded it has absolutely nothing to do with this network card. It really is annoying when someone marks their knowledge as high yet writes nothing about the card. Jync is an idiot!

5 out of 5 eggsIT RULES!!!!

Pros: You get what you pay for....this was installed in my first consumer grade server that involved 802.3ad Teaming. The Intel advanced TCP/IP settings - are by far the level every other company should be fighting for...THE BEST!!! I was so impressed with the ease I'm totally considering these for my home.

Cons: Cost, but it's a business series NIC so you can't complain really.

Other Thoughts: 2Gbps transfer is utterly amazing to see....even after seeing 20Gbps @ work lololol.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with ESX

Pros: Works with VMware ESX servers. Does what it is supposed to. I mainly purchased this NIC for it's use in a VMware ESX server I have. Not knowing 100% if it would work or not. I am here to say that it works 100%.

Cons: None so far. Maybe the price, in comparison to a standard 10/100/1000 NIC.

5 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable!

Pros: The responsiveness of my Internet experience has increased drastically! Also large file transfers to a local NAS at Gigabit speeds is vastly improved! Worth every penny. Even works well on a AMD motherboard!

Cons: Sadly it is made by Intel.

Other Thoughts: I was trying to keep my rig as homogeneous as possible but this card was what I needed for my rig.
