4 out of 5 eggsPerhaps people don't know...

Pros: Bluetooth function optional
Wireless card replaceable without replacing whole unit (upgradeable shell)

Cons: Reviews unclear mostly; no system info noted
no placement info noted

Other Thoughts: A lot of people don't realize the many causes of interference and lag:
1. floor interferece--EARTH HAS MAGNETIC POLES! THATS WHY A COMPASS POINTS NORTH! EM INTERFERENCE when antenna closer to floor.
2. Computer box has many outputs of interference!
-the USB3 ports now function within the same freq. range as wifi. Keep the antenna far from the usb, place in a slot away from the usb3 if possible.
-Monitor can put out EM. Place antenna away from monitor.
-Any signal traveling through computer will put out em, some will be in wifi range, keep the antennae away from computer ("...so that's why the darned thing's so long!" Yep.)
3. Bluetooth can be affected by the same EM as the wifi, but on the 2.4ghz range, and it's extremely slow anyway. By placing it on USB headers, you ground it to the box, and it can more easily function. But it's not a sure thing with usb3 headers. Interference from other usb3 can easily kill it. Unplug nearby usb3 headers connecting frontside of the box, and instead, use a hub on another port.
4. DESPITE what other people tell you, do not install the part before you install a driver!
----Before the computer can use the device, it needs to know what it is, how to talk to it, and any other adjustments to the main system code that are necessary so it can be identified and properly handled. Some "PLUG AND PLAY" devices rely on your computer having every possible latest driver for the part to be read and installed automatically, but in reality, most machines still in use are old enough that the plug and play drivers don't match up, or perhaps some updates havent been downloaded yet.
-by installing a base driver (starting point), you allow your system to pick up the hardware and use it, though perhaps in limited fashion. Once you do this, install the part physically (connect it). Now check your device manager, find the part, and check it's properties. Click on update driver. This may take a while... ...grab a coffee, then come back. If this lasts longer than 30 min, kill it. Plug in a hardwire, google this item with the tag "latest driver", find the page of the intel manufacturer that lists it, and download the driver for your system. You should now be able to disconnect the internet, install that driver using the device manager, and select where to get the driver from. If it is the same as your current driver, you're all set. Restart and then go.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome performance

Pros: Fast 5Ghz connectivity, easy installation, decent price. Installed this in my wife's PC after a Rosewill wireless adapter failure of only a few months. Quality construction on the wiring and receiver. Ability to replace the wireless chip rather than replace the whole PCIe card.

Cons: Haven't really had any problems at all with this card.

Other Thoughts: Definitely recommend this wireless adapter to anyone looking to upgrade their current one.

5 out of 5 eggsAll is good!

Pros: Installed wireless card easily. Windows 10 recognized it right away. Strong connection. The product worked as advertised.

Cons: To use the bluetooth, you'll have to surrender a USB connector on the MoBo. Still, not enough to remove an egg.

Other Thoughts: So far, so good.

3 out of 5 eggsFast Wireless if Connection Holds

Pros: Excellent wireless while connected
Bluetooth works great
Easy to set up, and I enjoy how you can mount the antennae onto your wall

Cons: Does not auto-connect to my WiFi
Last night I actually lost connection in the middle of a game

Other Thoughts: This is my first computer and I built it about 2 months ago, and this part is the one part that really annoys me. In my circumstance, ethernet wasn't available and I wanted to have Bluetooth.

About one month in it stopped auto-connecting, which is really only a minor annoyance, but the fact that it dropped connection mid-game has turned it into a righteous pain in my tuckus. I hope that was only a fluke.

In the end, if your computer is on the wrong side of the house for ethernet and you want Bluetooth, then this is still one of the better adapters. However, if Bluetooth isn't a big deal for you, then I'd recommend a different adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works....

Pros: Was not hard to install though I'd like it if a USB port on the motherboard was not used. My MSI gaming Z97 gaming 5 motherboard would have appreciated it...

Cons: USB port on the motherboard is used for the Bluetooth.

Other Thoughts: So far, so good. It works...

Seller did what they said they would do...

1 out of 5 eggsFail.

Pros: *sigh*

Cons: Fail. Purchased to enable Bluetooth support, and wireless capabilities. Even went to Intel communities intel thread 77740 (I'm sure you could look that up), and like others have had the same issue. Even though they have put out updates, it fails. Granted I'm running on a windows 10 pro Desktop, I would look elsewhere for doing anything like this. This product does not work as intended. I'm disappointed in intel.

Other Thoughts: I would not ever recommend this one to anyone that is wanting Bluetooth / wireless support on a desktop machine. Its been a failure.

4 out of 5 eggsOdd issue in windows 10

Pros: The wifi works out of the box with both Windows and Linux with great speed and connectivity 2 floors away from router. Bluetooth is also working well under linux however see cons

Cons: Bluetooth driver exist for windows 10 but kept failing to install. Finally got a driver to install restarted and it still doesnt recgnoize bluetooth device. Device manager just thinks its a defective usb device which is clearly not the case as booting into linux gives me a functional bluetooth device. I have yet to get Bluetooth working uder windows 10.
