1 out of 5 eggsChanging Earlier Recommendation of 5 Eggs

Pros: It worked with Win 7 extremely well for two weeks.

Cons: It appears Win 7 always tries to download a new driver for it that does not work. So you are constantly reloading the old driver and windows is always changing it. This is a KNOWN issue with Ralink Chipsets. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Your connection will be perfect, but you will be unable to connect to the internet.

Other Thoughts: RaLink should have fixed this long ago. I am going to try older Windows Vista drivers to see if they are any better. Right now this is JUNK.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Garbage

Pros: Nice Box. Card LOOKS like it would work...

Cons: ...but it doesn't. I've installed a number of wireless cards in the past but have never had anything as useless as this.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money and buy something else.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy Hide Ralink

Pros: ? Let me think....................................Has a wire!?

Cons: No where in the description does it say this is a Ralink product (If it did I would not have bought it.) I have bought 2 Ralink products and BOTH of the utilities were useless and a lay person would have to spend too much time figuring it out. I disabled the utility and went to using the Windows Utility. It has WORSE reception than my Belkin USB adapter.
If the item description had even the shade of RaLink in it I would have RAN. I have had nothing buy problems with RaLink.
I was going to give it a 2 egg, but since the description was false (hopefully due to RaLink and not newegg) I gave it a 1.
I am about 100 feet from the router and the Belkin gave me a good solid 3 bars, this is holding steady at 2, moving it closer did not help.

Other Thoughts: I suggest avoiding ALL RaLink products. In the past I had trouble with throughput. It shows the correct speed, but all of the adapters I have used of theirs bottleneck. I would return it but the return shipping would only disappoint me all the more, I would considering selling it on my online auction site but I can't afford a negative rating. I just really have nothing good to say about RaLink from past and present experience, and that fact that it was not stated that the chipset of this and the driver were RaLink, well my trust in NewEgg has also gone down a bit.
I can't say I am mad, but seriously disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Wireless Card

Pros: Good Fast Connection, supports all Protocols.

Cons: No N spped.

Other Thoughts: G Linksys Router in Basement, Computer on second floor, 5 Bars Signal Strength, who could ask for more? Win 7 will automatically install the driver.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Strong, works great and real good value!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Using Win7 with an extended antena and in the past I had a weak signal at best, now it tops off and my connection is very fast. This is a great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: It works fine with Vista 64-bit and SP1.

The router is in another room.

The signal distance is forty feet.

Cons: The drivers took a bit longer to install.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to connect the antenna that comes with the card, otherwise it will not connect unless you're very close to the router.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, as expected

Pros: Installed this on a XP machine. Setup was as easy and quick as any adapter I've installed. This was for my brothers computer so I can't compare signal strength personally. He's using it on the other end of the house from the router aprox 100 ft and getting excellent signal strength. Hasn't had any dropouts to date.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great value on a dependable card. As always Newegg rocks, fast processing and shipping.
