Pros: Works great with OS X Lion. I use VMWare Fusion and wanted to assign unique physical ports to different virtual machines.

Cons: The card is manufactured by Realtek and unfortunately Startech does not have a Lion-compatible driver on their web site. It's 2.04 instead of 2.06. You can get 2.06 from the Realtek web site or simply Google search RTGNICv2.0.6For10.7.mpkg

Pros: Supported in FreeBSD7.2 (ie: pfSense)

Cons: Requires the latest drivers from RealTek to compile in ESX.

Other Thoughts: Solid Price.

5 out of 5 eggspfSense Compatible; Great with Supermicro's SYS-5015A-H

Pros: Used these cards for multiple pfSense boxes we configured to replace our Cisco 1800 series routers. These are fully supported by pfSense 1.2.3 out of the box. Very cheap, effective, and gives the benefit of future growth with spare interfaces. I had been using a two-port Intel NIC, but we needed additional ports for new network segments and CARP configuration. Works GREAT for both requirements.

Tried using Supermicro's 4-port NIC (SPP-AOC-UG-I4) but the orientation was wrong for the 1U Supermicro server chassis we were utilizing.... This one fit great and cost substantially less.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't find too many people confirming this DOES work with pfSense -- but it does. No issues with it running for ~1yr.
