With one DB-9 RS-232 connector on one side and a RJ-45 connector on the other side, the StarTech NETRS232 Serial Device Server lets you remotely access and manage an RS232 serial device over a local or wide area network (LAN/WAN), with up to 230.4 Kbps baud rate. Great for use in CNC machinery, process control equipment and UPS control, this model is a simple and cost-effective solution for serial-over-IP control, allowing you to use the existing network infrastructure. The 15KV ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection safeguards both the server and connected devices. Dual powering method, via a 12V DC power adapter (included) or through the integrated 10~30V DC terminal block, offers you more flexibility in installation and placement. Setup is quick and easy using software utility, or web browser. Plus, this model features a durable, rugged housing, ensuring reliable, hassle-free performance even in harsh environments.

Comprehensive Performance This model integrates support for VCOM, TCP Server/Client, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, ICMP (PING), Static IP, and ARP protocols, while supporting baud rates up to 230.4 Kbps and is compliant with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u standards.

This review is from: StarTech NETRS232 1 Port RS-232 Serial to IP Ethernet Device Server - DIN Rail Mountable Pros: the device itself is great. very stable Cons: the software is absolute garbadge. i did not manage to get it to work reliably. in the end i setup the telnet client on the device and used a different software i found online. TAL O. 2/15/2015 7:41:19 AM Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 4/5Serial over TCP ...not bad This review is from: StarTech NETRS232 1 Port RS-232 Serial to IP Ethernet Device Server - DIN Rail Mountable Pros: Very stable device. has features for UDP server or client and TCP server or client features. native telnet as well as reverse telnet, with rs232 setup over telnet control (setting baudrate etc) Cons: Included virtual port software was absolute garbage. in the end used a native add on to our systems to integrate it via telnet Other Thoughts: overall it was a good device. take note, there are two versions of this. this one and one which is not din mountable. for some reason this one is cheaper. although both have the same feature set.
