Great and cheap
- Pros: -cheap
-good build quality -good size Its a switch hard to make a bad one
- Cons: not any that i can think of, for all its a dumby switch
- Other Thoughts: used perfectly for a LAN party
Great router, noob installer
- Pros: 15 available ports for future expandability!!!!!,
excellent wall mounting design
- Cons: nothing as of yet
- Other Thoughts: I made the of thinking my modem was also a gateway/router. I found out the hard way that it was not. I connect the Netgear switch to my Comcast provided-modem and connected my computer to the switch. Never could get an ip address. Afterwards, I knew exactly the problem. Had I just take a few extra minutes to think about the purchase, I might have realized my modem was not a gateway/router. But in the end, everything worked out fine. I connect the switch to one of the gigabit ports on my new wireless router and put all my 100mbps devices on the switch and all my 1000mbps devices on the remaining router ports. I'll probably never use the last 7 remaining ports, but who knows maybe I will. Newegg service was great. No problems what-so-ever.
No Problems
- Pros: The switch worked great right out of the box, no setting up needed. All I had to do is mount it and connect it and it worked great!!
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: none
