All NETGEAR All the Time

Pros: I replaced my unreliable Linksys WRT54G wireless router with this WG102 WAP and a companion NETGEAR FVS114 router. In concert with my NETGEAR FS116 switch, I am all little-blue-steel-box NETGEAR and the network improvement is dramatic. Wireless connectivity is much more stable, less than 1 drop per month (compared to 5 drops daily with Linksys). The network includes 1 wireless printer and 5 laptops, as well as a wired PC, network printer, and NAS.

Configuration is well-documented right in the browser window.

Cons: Only a modest speed improvement, and no increase in range over competing products. Not wireless n, but wireless g is fine for Netflix-on-laptop.

Other Thoughts: Blinking WLAN light is normal, despite manufacturer instruction that it should be steady.

No gimmicks, just solid performance. You know it is true: time to graduate from consumer plastic to a business class network!

Pros: Thsi has to be the best access point I have used to this point. It works better than anything that Linksys has on the market. It is worth the price for the quality of the product. I have purchased 2 so far and they have no errors or issues.

Cons: Somwhat different to access the setup and config. This requires reading the instructions.

Other Thoughts: I will use this as a standard for all my wireless setups for my customer base.

Pros: Great access points
I have four of these and I have had no trouble with any of them. They are great aps and were easy to configure

Cons: In order to configure these you need to change your ip to a manually set ip on the netgear factory set subnet. This is annoying because as soon as you configure these to work in the REAL world you have to change your subnet back to finish configuration. Because of this i will give theese four eggs
