5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Value! Outstanding Perfomance! Outstanding Stability!

Pros: This thing has been an amazing switch. I placed this it in my dad's corporate network for communication between clients and the data services in his building, and it has handles everything like a champ. The interface matches Cisco's style, so there is no learning curve persay, and the switch does a fantastic job with non-advanced command line users by supplying a highly visual web interface. It supports all of the latest standards, and it will take whatever amount of load your clients throw at it. It also came with rackmount brackets... that is nice. Some switches I have bought don't even supply those! This thing performs like a champ, stacks like one, and it has not required a cold restart ever in its 200+ days of being in a production network.

Cons: Simply nothing.

Other Thoughts: You do not require Cisco's switches for workstation networking. This thing would even work well in as a racktop data switch if it was required. I am thankful I bought this since my father's budget is very menial with IT. It has not treated him or me, as his administrator, wrong. If you are looking for Layer 3 capabilites for a Layer 2 price, and want something that you as an administrator -- or even home user -- can use in your network... this thing supplies the capabilites and configurability needed on all skill levels.
