5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Definitely good construction. Its a switch and works as expected

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The metal construction is a lot more stable than plastic desktop switches. This one doesn't move unless I really pull on an Ethernet cable.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks nicely.

Pros: I bought this to replace my previous Netgear Switch one that finally died after like 7 or 8 years of use... or it might be more.

Just connect it and that's it. Works well. Feels nice and hefty, not light and flimsy plastic.

Cons: Non so far. I'll update it anything comes up.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent switch

Pros: I really love these netgear switches. You plug them in, and they do the work. Lifetime warranty, no weird things going on that you have to troubleshoot (like a certain cisco switch that inexplicably blocked things and needed a firmware downgrade to correct... yes, a layer 2 SWITCH.) There's really nothing bad I have to say about these. The design is elegant and solid, not like some of the more flashy, obnoxious switches I've seen.

Cons: I can't think of any, really. It's a fast switch that you can plug in and never think about again.

Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong with netgear.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd switch, maybe it's time for 16 port...

Pros: works out of the box, does what it suppose to...

Cons: none really...

Other Thoughts: Probably should've ordered 16 ports one... as this was my second 8 port switch, tow of these working in tandem now...

5 out of 5 eggsNice little device

Pros: Good little desktop device. We had to install one in a pinch to replace a two year old gigabit 24 port netgear, and working great so far. Easy setup and fast shipping as expected. Thanks!

Cons: None other than cost.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect solution if you need more RJ-45 hook-ups to your network

Pros: Quiet, easy plug and play.
No muss no fuss.

working very well on a home network that I have internet blu-ray player, internet TV, and WD Live Hub. No speed issues or compatibility issues. It also allows me to see my whole media server as well that is shared with all devices.

I pair it with Powerline Netgear to solve all my networking issues.

Cons: price

3 out of 5 eggsDon't count on getting rebate!

Pros: Overall Netgear puts out a good product. This is the second Netgear switch I have in my home (one upstairs, one downstairs.

Cons: None except for the rebate.

Other Thoughts: I hate it when you submit a rebate, double checking that I have submitted all of the paperwork, and then have it rejected not knowing why. So don't buy this product based on the price with a rebate because you probably won't get the rebate.
