1 out of 5 eggsWarning...do not purchase.

Pros: Would make a very small boat anchor.

Cons: Useless junk, and Netgear help is worse. Buy anything but this garbage.

Other Thoughts: I suggest that all Netgear productsa are tarred with the same brush.

4 out of 5 eggsGood For the Price

Pros: Cheap. Picks up the signal two rooms away.

Cons: on Windows XP, you can't hibernate the machine if the driver for this card is installed, very odd!!!

Other Thoughts: It took me several driver install/uninstall/restarts to get it to work. Worked fine after that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat hardware, so-so proprietary software

Pros: Got this on a deal for $10. Hardware works great, haven't had any problems with it.

Cons: Proprietary Netgear connection managing software had to go; it kept interfering with Win7 automatic connection tools.

Other Thoughts: For $10 you can't go wrong, unless you need 802.11n compatibility.

1 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Win7

Pros: Very low price (24 hours after I bought it for $35) =P

Worked fine on WinXP machine.

Cons: Unless you are absolutely sure you can make this work with Win7 and have a very high tech knowledge of your components...

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR WINDOWS 7.

Don't let the low price and stated "Works with Win7" fool you.

Other Thoughts: I've been a loyal Netgear fan for about 10 years now and over the course of the last 3 years that loyalty has been eroded by poor hardware, driver support and dismal tech support.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work for me

Pros: It has an antenna and antenna are cool?... maybe

Cons: The box, manual and netgear's website say that this card is compatible with Windows 7 but alas it is not. I am running a freshly installed copy of window 7 64bit with 4 gigs of ram and the card continually give a (Code 10) cannot start device error upon it's installation. Exhaustive research show that Netgear has only provided drivers for the 32bit version of windows that work and are aware of the issue with the 64bit but have not addressed it for over a year. I guess there is some issue a well with this card not starting when the system memory exceeds 4gb or more.

Other Thoughts: I cannot get this card to work no matter what I tried. My confidence in Netgear was shaky prior to this and now is gone. I will never buy Netgear products again. Additionally I think that Newegg would do well to possibly remove this product from there inventory. With as many negatives as it has on this site you'd think they had some type of algorithm that says to get it out of inventory and stop selling it to people.

2 out of 5 eggsDid not work correctly

Pros: Wish I could give you some, but nothing worked.

Cons: Installed drivers, plugged the card in and restarded computer. Drivers were installed properly, device seems to work properly... But when trying to connect to the internet... Oops Oh no. This device is not working properly, please remove card and reinstall drivers.
I did this and the same thing occured. This device refuses to work.

Other Thoughts: Woulda of been excellent for the money if it just plugged right in and played like it was suppose to. But it didnt.

1 out of 5 eggsIgnore Win7 compatibility if 64 bit!!!

Pros: - Cheap

Cons: - Driver installation problematic at best
- No proper Win7 64bit compatibility (Could not get it to work after hours of fiddling)

Other Thoughts: - 32 bit Win7 works fine, if you have patience and troubleshooting skills.
- You'd be much better off getting a different card...

1 out of 5 eggs4gigs+ RAM? Total junk...

Pros: Works okay when it works

Cons: Drops connection often
Sometimes won't even work so software needs to be reinstalled
Sometimes need to pull it out of the system, reboot, reinstall for it to start working again

And the biggest issue...
Upgraded RAM to 4gigs and it no longer works. No solution and netgear says it is a chip manufacturer problem, not theirs. So if you have 4gigs or more then this is completely worthless.

Other Thoughts: I'm done buying netgear products. The wireless router (WNDR3700) I have at home has also given me nothing but problems with dropping the connection and overall being slow or having low signal.

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT Waste Your Money!

Pros: The little antenna on the back makes your computer look cool?

Cons: Does not work with Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit). They offer Win7 drivers on the website, but it never installs correctly. Either it installs incorrectly or the hardware "cannot start." I even tried reading the website, tech support forums, everything. Nothing will make this work. Save your $ and buy something worthwhile.

Other Thoughts: This is the worst product I've ever bought.

1 out of 5 eggsread reviews carefully

Pros: good cheap card IF you are not running Win7 or win732 unsder 2gigs ram

Cons: will not work in windows 7 64 at all
will lwork in 32 bit if you are advanced enough to learn tricks with old drivers..

Other Thoughts: spend a few dollars get a non marvell based card theres some good ones out there i now have 3 these diffrent manufacturers that dont work.
