Love the thing!
- Pros: Well its a switch, and it works! I use this in a light loaded enviorment, and it functions well.
- Cons: Not gigabit, I didnt get it on newegg.
- Other Thoughts: I got this thing at a local surplus store for 25 bucks! WAS a great deal! only prob is it came with no box, and some scratches, but it works great!

- Pros: -Universal Power Connector (same thing that's on the back of every PSU), auto sensing 100-240v built in PSU, no wall wart
-20 microsecond latency is insanely quick. As long as the application doesn't demand over 100mbits, the LAN is incredibly fast. I've got this switch connecting multiple WAPs to another (gigabit) switch... there was a noticeable increase in speed between wireless clients on different WAPs when I moved all of the WAPs to this switch, because of my gigabit switches' higher latency.
-Runs cool, is very reliable. I love it!
- Cons: -No fiber or gigabit capabilities, but this a different type of switch, so that doesn't really count. It's a fast 24 port 10/100 switch at a good price, that's all. It does what it's designed to do (very well), and nothing more.
- Other Thoughts: My particular unit was a pre-release, and has taken quite a bit of abuse (moving, being dropped, being shipped around the country without sufficient padding in the box, etc). That being said, it is showing a bit of wear. The middle group of 8 rj-45 jacks only works intermittently, and the left group won't send data to the right group (but they work independently. So basically all I have is a pair of 8 port switches (that work VERY well). Considering the abuse the unit has taken over the years, I think it's done very well (most switches probably wouldn't work at all after this much abuse). Even with the condition it's in, it's still the fastest (latency wise) and most reliable piece of equipment in my large home network.
