5 out of 5 eggsa great modem

Pros: this works perfectly for me. the setup was easy as could be. the farthest it has to transmit in my house is the next room over but i lose no speed whatsoever. i also run the wired connection to my xbox and i can stream netflix with no problem. and the price was excellent, much less than what my isp charged.

Cons: you should know that when you initially set the modem up, it needs to be wired to the computer via ethernet cable. this is not a con, per se but i wish i had known this prior to purchasing. luckily my computer had an ethernet card already!

5 out of 5 eggsNetgear router

Pros: Great modem/router. I replaced the old DSL modem furnished by my provider and the previous Netgear router which had stopped working. The new unit is half the size of the old router, so it frees up a lot of self space. Speed is increased by about 10-15% also. Easy setup, no problems!

Cons: It seemed to run a little hot when in horizontal position, so I stood it on end with the included feet. All is now well.

5 out of 5 eggsworks and has nice features

Pros: price, also when you log into the modem you can set up port forwarding quite easy no ip's needed, has upnp, also it has a vpn setup wizzard, and can support dynamic dns, has been reliable going strong for 4-5 months now.

Cons: 54 mbs wireless signal wish it could be more.
does not have wireless n, lan is 100 mbs not 1000 mbs.

Other Thoughts: netgear has these new features that are great, and i was having a huge problem with getting another one of my wireless netgear routers to bridge properly idk if its me or what but netgear support is like watching paint dry and still have the same problem.

1 out of 5 eggsTrouble Router / Modem

Pros: It does work...when its not hung up on me.

Cons: Was able to install with AT&T DSL service, but not without a lot of phone calls and manipulation. But have had a problem with it disconnecting itself ever since got it. All computers on it get hung up on with the router, then have to wait for the wireless on the computers to refind the network and connect back up. Definitely a modem/router problem because we put an ethernet direct connect into it with one computer after getting fedup with the wireless disconnecting, and it doesn't do it. But the wireless computers it still does. Irregular occurrence, sometimes every 5 minutes for hours, other times once every 24 hours.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent so far

Pros: So far it has been excellent. :) The only reason I did not put 5 eggs is because this product is still fairly new in my possession.

Cons: Difficulty setting up as with other ATT customers. Other than that no complaints!

Other Thoughts: Although I have only had this product for about two weeks, it has worked excellent. This has the modem and router built in and it is amazing. No need for extra objects/wires. If I am able to change this review after a few months of use, or write a new review, I will to give an update.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well with RouterStats

Pros: Works well with RouterStats. Works with Frontier DSL. Speed-wise, it is no better (or worse) than any of the other modems or modem/routers I've tried. But it does seem to work better on my line which has high attenuation and fairly low SNR Margin.

Cons: None so far. If it is reliable for the long haul, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Modem - Great Deal

Pros: Cheap, easy setup, many configuration options, seems to work with just about any service out there. Throughput is about 15% better than with my old modem and now I can take advantage of newer security methods and features.

Cons: Needs a fair bit of technical knowledge in set up. Not something you would give your parents and expect to see them implement any time soon. You'll need to have a fair amount of information from your provider as well. Good news is that all of it is easy to set via a very good web interface.

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this purchase. About half the price my provider wanted for a updated modem.
