5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. No signal issues.

Cons: I wish I could broadcast both "n" frequencies at that same time, but for the price it works great.

5 out of 5 eggsstill working great

Pros: This is a follow up. Router still working great, and I have had no issues with it.

Cons: this "dual band" does both 5 & 2.4 but 5 at 170Mbps and 54Mbps at the 2.4 range. Works fine but now debating whether to get a dual band router that runs both bands at 300Mbps or faster....

Other Thoughts: great router for the price I paid, we run two windows base pc's, three smart phones, netflix on tv, xbox 360 and two laptops with no noticeable drop in internet performance. Only one of the PC's is hard wired, everything else is wi-fi..

5 out of 5 eggsRecertified WND3300

Pros: Works great with DD-WRT flashed to it. No complaints so far. I have both my PS3 and Xbox 360 hooked to it as a router bridge.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Very easy set-up. basically just unplugged my old router and plugged this one in. I like the bright lights, doubles as a night light at night.

Cons: No cd included. Didn't need it but it was suppose to be included. Bright dome lights might cause seizures?

Other Thoughts: Worked right away, very easy to set up secure network with my own password. I have three PC's, one laptop, Vizio TV, three smart phones, and kindle fire all connected and it all works smoothly with no dropped signals. Netflix streamed very well with everybody else using the network. You can turn off the obnoxiously bright lights by pushing on the dome-thing for a second.

4 out of 5 eggsFlash third-party firmware

Pros: -After flashing to DD-WRT - Strong stable connection and running 24/7 for almost 3 months.
-Price.
-Simultaneous N and G networks.

Cons: -Netgear pre-installed firmware is terrible.
-Wireless throughput is a little lacking, but expected for the unit's specs.
-Cant flash larger DD-WRT builds due to limited flash space.

Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and flash DD-WRT or Tomato right away, you'll have a much less frustrating experience with this router. Its a fairly painless procedure, and they have a fairly detailed guide on DD-WRT.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Good router. Works without any installation and doesn't kill any bandwidth.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't come with any CD so I had to find the netgear program online to protect my wireless internet.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Router

Pros: This router is great i had some problems setting it up just right but after disabling qos and using WPA2-PSK [AES] we get 55mbps internet speed what we suppose to get and no more drops of wi-fi from the router tried dd-wrt just made it alot worse but after updating the firmware from the original made it alot better

Cons: Trying to get it to get past 10mbps wireless finally did and that was the only thing i was trying to get it to do but no more problems after Disabling QOS!!

2 out of 5 eggsUtterly disappointing.

Pros: Inexpensive, works as a hard-wired router.

Cons: Another word for inexpensive is "cheap" and this is what this product is. The wireless signal just flat out does not work half the time, so it's best used as wired with an extra long cord and toss a floor mat over it so people won't trip.

Other Thoughts: The last netgear product I will buy.

4 out of 5 eggsQuite versatile with dd-wrt

Pros: Very inexpensive. Dual radios (5/2.4 GHz, and 2.4 GHz). Is supported by DD-WRT. When used with DD-WRT, it is a true dual-band radio. So far (just over a year) all four WNDR3300 routers that I am using in a WDS mesh network have been working well.

Cons: Unless you replace the Netgear firmware, the router's capabilities are quite limited. No pigtail connectors for external antennae. Only 4 MB flash memory.

Other Thoughts: The routers do run fairly hot, and cannot be over-clocked. The small size of the flash memory limits the version of DD-WRT that can be flashed on it - for example the mega builds cannot be flashed.

4 out of 5 eggsStill working after 2 years

Pros: Easy setup, good connection speeds. The range is pretty decent too, I can reach upwards of 40 feet through several walls. After updating the firmware (important!), the router does a good job managing connections and applying QoS rules. The traffic shaping rules are decent for most home-networking applications.

Cons: Requires some decent space to ventilate and cool -- the unit generates a fair bit of heat, and may be prone to heat & psu-based power failures. Mine hasn't died this way, but some do (hence the steady stream of refurbs, I imagine).

The QoS / traffic shaping / access rules are a little anemic, but for a home router, it does the job most of the time.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried forcing the DD-WRT or Tomato issue yet, but I don't really want to risk bricking the unit.
