4 out of 5 eggsDD-WRT Friendly

Pros: Wireless N
32 MB of RAM
DD-WRT Compatible (see Other)
Has serial port pins on the board
Potential support for external antennas

Cons: Stands vertical. Ventilation holes are on top
Internal antennas are puny = cruddy range
Small flash storage
Pain to take apart. Held in by plastic tabs

Other Thoughts: Using this as just a router/switch combo.
DD-WRT is compatible, but there is no documentation on the website. I had to use a forum post to guide me through the steps. Installation is pretty easy from there.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Cheap and not bad performance

Cons: Of the lot of routers we bought, the failure rate was about 7%. after 4-6 month. But for less than $30 I can't complain much. For more critical installs I'd pay the extra for a new and higher end router

1 out of 5 eggsPoor coverage.

Pros: Feature packed, clean aesthetics, compact design.

Cons: Poor coverage in a fairly small house.

Other Thoughts: Spend another $30, and get a low end Linksys router.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry the range does not seem to cover your home. If you would like to see if upgrading to the latest firmware may help please feel free to give it a try:

4 out of 5 eggsCompare to ON Networks N300 Router

Pros: Very similar (maybe identical?) to ON Networks N300 model and that means it should be very good for the price.

Cons: Has standard 10/100 LAN speed, but lacks the faster 10/100/1000 Gigabit speed for moving data around on your home network. If you usually have 2 (or at most 3) users sharing the available bandwidth it should be fine, but heavy users might be better served with a Gigabit router.

Other Thoughts: Compare this to ON Networks N300 which is new not refurbished and includes a full 1-year warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Easy set-up. Works great with a Uverse NVG510 gateway set in IP Passthrough mode. Came packaged like it was new, not refurbished. Easy set up.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood router for the money

Pros: Works perfectly. Item came well packaged from the factory. I am using it with a Motorola NVG510 Gateway I got with my Uverse service . . . the router functions with the gateway left a lot to be desired, so I set the gateway to just serve as a modem. This router performs much, much better.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than what Comcast gives you

Pros: -Ease of set up
-Sufficient number of available ethernet ports
-Color coded ports
-Compatible with Comcast high speed internet

Cons: Plastic base is thin, flimsy plastic

Other Thoughts: I bought this router after 3 of the routers that Comcast sent me weren't working properly. I haven't had any issues with it other than the occasional necessary power cycle. I have to admit - I have never utilized the "WPS" feature so I can't comment on that.
