Pros: -300MBS -I have owned it for 2 months now and I have never got a dropped signal. - My router is upstairs and I have this connected to a computer in a room in the far corner of the basement. I get 3 bars and my ping to chicago server in game is in the 20s, just like if I was directly connected. -I have Window 64bit and it works just fine.
Cons: Download the new drivers off the netgear website first before you install thsi so you have them on your computer. Takes an install of the new drivers and a reboot to work.
Other Thoughts: I got it for 9 bucks. This is dirt cheap and works. It has a cool blue LED to with it which matches the blue LEDS in my case and my keyboard. 9 Bucks for 300mbs wireless... Great Deal.

Pros: case design in not too ugly
Cons: Over heats, signal finding is spotty if at all.
Other Thoughts: I have moved around many time since ownership. I have never been happy with this product. Whether in a thin walled apartment or a brick building this adapter has been a disappointment.

Rating: 2/5Released from R&D Too Soon
Pros: Easy to connect to the USB slot in a desktop or notebook computer. Software included with the unit shows how the adapter finds local units as well as separating the ones with unsecured routers or modems and those with WEP/WPA/Etc.. connections. The adapter with software does help pick up connections and gives options as to which you want to connect to first. Allows for multiple-connections to join for more speed.
Cons: The radius is severely lacking. The adapter often refuses to hold the connection while on and requires constant clicks to connect back to the initial connection again and again. The lack of a stand makes it difficult to get the adapter to an acceptable height for better signal so it requires one to tie it off at a tall chair or something higher up. It doesn't work all the time but it's better than nothing at all.
Other Thoughts: Needs more R&D time in order to deal with the unit's downfalls and outright lack of connection abilities. It would also serve better if the R/D added a device to hold the unit in place at a higher level to pick up stronger and more reliable signals without the need to constantly hunt for that "sweet spot" to get connection - even while at a wi-fi offered coffee shop!

Rating: 3/5tough installl for Win 7 and Ubuntu
Pros: It is n and cheap
Cons: Windows 7 will install drivers - but they are the wrong ones. You have to go to Netgear and download this: WN111v2 Software Version 3.1. It has an easy setup prompt and then you plug in the adapter and it works. Not fun - 3 hours of googling to find this fix - thanks to Win7.
Ubuntu set it up manually too but only for b/g. I has to google about ndiswrapper to get it to use n.... another hour down as well.

Pros: Worked all these time since I bought it. 8 months. Fast data speed even when signal is not full.
Cons: HARD TO FIND DRIVER No Label indicating if it's a V1 or V2
Other Thoughts: Bought it for 9.99 in JAN. The price defended all the cons. As it is working.

Rating: 1/5Doesn't work with Windows 7
Pros: None
Cons: After initially installing driver, it was working then Windows thinks the driver is corrupt. After several attempts at removing, uninstalling and re-adding, I ordered the Rosewill N USB card. I think this one might work fine with older OSes so I'll keep it around for that connectivity.

Rating: 4/5Worked fine for me
Pros: Got it for about 13 bucks with a usb cable. Downloaded the driver from the Netgear site. Works fine at 54mbs, which is enough for my needs.
Cons: It didn't want to connect right away but persistance paid off. The slower speed may be a result of an older wireless router that is rated "up to" 108 mbs. "up to" includes 54 mbs. Whatever,. For 13 bucks, I'm happy. I don't do my online crossword puzzles fast enough for it to be an issue anyway.

Rating: 5/5Good USB Wireless N Adapter
Pros: Does a very good job. Gets full speed with my D-Link "N" router.
Cons: Even though this is a refurb, I have a new one and both do good jobs.
Other Thoughts: I have had good luck with these Netgear USB adapter in both the "G" and "N" versions. Also, the cable that comes with them often lets you move the USB device to a site where it gets a better signal!
