1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Cheap, NetGear

Cons: Wireless doesn't work at all for my Droid or Blackberries. It's a well documented issue on the web. NetGear technical support is virtually non-existent. This is the v1 of the router...v2, and v3 fixed a lot of these issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Range

Pros: Great range and pretty easy set up to get it to work.

Cons: Networking has been a pain so far, but that was more my fault then the routers. I just printed out the user manual and plan on starting from scratch tonight.

Other Thoughts: Price was awesome.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Works good

Cons: Doesn't not work.

Other Thoughts: Works really good. I set it up sideways, with the legs that came with it. It exhausts heat better that way, due to the natural draft created by the heat, like a chimney, you know?

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Bang for the $$$

Pros: Arrived in brand new condition and within 3 business days of order. Set up was real easy and Windows 7 recognized it instantly the first time. Range and upload speed are excellent. Expertly packaged in a "new" NETGEAR brown box. Given the cost verses brand new, this has to be the best bargain I've seen this year.

Cons: Only 30 day warranty. Missing CD drivers and owners manual; but not really necessary if you're familiar with routers. Other than that, everything's supplied. Other con might be durability; I may not be so happy if it suddenly dies six-months from now :)

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from an earlier NETGEAR -G model for a little more range in my condominium. Maybe I got a lucky draw but this deal would be 6 stars if I could rate it that high.

1 out of 5 eggsDONT BUY THIS

Pros: sets up easy

Cons: i got this router for work. i put it in, set it up, and then
it proceeded to drop it's connection every 20 seconds.

so i updated the firmware.
it would then drop it's connection every 2-3 minutes.

this is very annoying when you are in a chat room.

do not buy this router. there is a reason why it's so cheap with free shipping. it belongs in a garbage dump.

Other Thoughts: i was ripped off but i'm not going to pay to ship it back.

you get what you pay for.

other people were right about it dropping it's connection constantly.

newegg should pull this off the site.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Product

Pros: Worked out of the box and even came with an ethernet cord. Flawless setup. Realistically, I couldn't tell the difference from a new one with the exception that the serial number was blacked out.

Cons: None so far

3 out of 5 eggsFine router, some problems

Pros: Easy to install, all indicator lights work, wireless has good range (significantly better than my previous wireless G router)

Cons: Occasionally, the wireless signal will drop. This is extremely frustrating.

Other Thoughts: I use my laptop a good distance away from the router. I'm assuming the signal drops because of the router, not because wireless signal is weak. I've had the signal occasionally dropped in other locations in the house as well, though not as frequently.
