5 out of 5 eggsNetGear Powerline Ethernet

Pros: Easy, simple, great, worry-free.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Works like a champ. This is a true plug-and-play device, no configurations needed. Just plug them in the router and laptop and there you go. The speed is great and I LOVE IT!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSimple and works great

Pros: Very simple to use. Had it up an running in 2 min with the majority of the time spent walking to the basement. Plugged it in next to the router and attached the ethernet cable to it and the router. Plugged it in down in my finished basement where I needed it and it worked immediately. Speed check at the FCC's website indicated 20,000kbps. Wireless in that same area varried 7-10,000kbps and not enough for streaming video etc. Now everything works great!

Cons: Only con for me is that it eliminates an outlet.

Other Thoughts: Why didn't I buy this a few years ago.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Product

Pros: Easy, effective, fast, all of the above. Made my life so much easier.

Cons: Expensive ish.

Other Thoughts: Me and my brother tried wireless routing for an eternity to our Gaming consoles(360 and ps3), and after a while we were fed up with it and sought other solutions. These little adaptors have worked flawlessly. Plug and play wherever you want in your house. Reccomend any day of the week over a wireless solution

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff!

Pros: Simple and easy to use. Works effortlessly. Good throughput and much more stable than wireless. Getting consistent 100 Mbps on computer through breaker box and farthest away from router in my home.

Cons: Got these somewhere other than the Egg and it cost more money.

Other Thoughts: These units work great. It makes my computer using it have a much better connection. I use this to stream HD movies and such from my home server. This is much more reliable than my wireless usb adapter and has consistent throughput. Ordered two of the units with plugins to finish my powerline network. My house was built in 1938, but I am sure the wiring is more recent, just not sure when more recent was exactly.
