1 out of 5 eggsmake sure you know about routers and there settings before buying this one

Pros: Nice looking

Cons: Doesnt come with a install cd.
I downloaded the Net Genie program but what good is it if it doesnt allow you to log into the settings if you dont have a internet connection.

I spent almost two days trying to get this thing to work.
It kept trying to fix the problems it found but failed too.
My internet worked just fine when I would remove the router.

I also noticed as long as I had the Net Genie program installed it would continue to run even if the router wasnt hooked up. and I would loose my internet connection every few minutes.

Other Thoughts: This may be a good router maybe I got a broke one or maybe you need knowledge to use this one.

I took this one back and bought a belkin n750
which comes with a install cd.. and it worked correctly the first time i hooked it up. I didnt even have to change any settings.

5 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Easy set up. You won't have to cover the front with electrical tape cuz it looks pretty.

Cons: Maybe a con, maybe not...weak wireless range, no better than the standard Linksys. I wanted more than the standard Linksys WRT54GL. If you don't have a faster than a 50Mbps connection don't bother with this. Performs the same, range-wise, as Linksys wirelessly.

BUT if you have a faster connection than 50-60 Mbps this is a great router as it gets you up to speed with your real connection speed. Probably any 10/100/1000 router will.

1 out of 5 eggsFind a different router

Pros: Dual Band, guest network, gigabit speed

Cons: Netgear support, wireless degrades to the point it only works from a few feet away, the network connection will drop out of now where, and they have to be routinely rebooted. I have had to deal with some bad overseas tech support but netgear takes the cake.

Other Thoughts: My first 3700 died with-in a few months and after talking on the phone with tech support I got another which died after a few months. I converted back to my linksys wrt54g for the time being. I have owned quite a few pieces of netgear equipment but they never last very long. This is the last one I buy.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect choice

Pros: Glad I bought this router!
I had to keep the previous router I had in the living room, 4ft from my PS3 so that it could keep a signal. After getting this set up, it is upstairs in the "computer room" and still getting 100% signal at any location in the house. With 2 laptops, 2 desktops, PS3, Wii, and phone using the internet, plus a 1.5tera hooked up via ReadyShare, this router never second guesses any connection.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've seen comments and reviews about the ReadyShare giving some people issues, maybe I just don't have anything to compare it to from before, but it seems to work great, every device except for the Wii and the phone connect to the drive flawlessly.

1 out of 5 eggsworked good at first

Pros: Gigabit speed on the switch side, Dual Band, guest network

Cons: The wireless radio started failing after 5 months. You could only get a signal about 10 feet from it, and that is on the 2.4ghz spectrum. Called netgear and was on the phone for 4 hours and talked to nearly 10 people. Nobody would help. All they wanted me to do was pay for service when the device was still under warranty! This is the first and last netgear purchase for me.
