2 out of 5 eggs**DO NOT BUY** - Works for 4 months and dies

Pros: This wireless adapter works for a great amount of time! It had great speeds and connection for awhile! It was great for gaming until it died.

Cons: Even with all of its pros, this adapter dies quite easily. After a little over a year, I've noticed that my internet connection was dropping and my ping was getting higher.
After my dad and I buying a Powerline adapter (which was terrible) and buying two extensions to see if that would help our situation in the back of the house, I unplugged the device and found that it was about 115 degrees Fahrenheit! I had to blow into the ventilation to see if that would help and cool it off (which worked) but became quite repetitive and rage-inducing when I was in the middle of a game.
Also, the fact that you need to get software for this adapter to work is ridiculous! We needed to go on anther computer in order to get the setup so it could work!

Other Thoughts: This is just about the worst adapter I've ever owned and I'm looking forward for my Rosewill AC1200 to come soon and hopefully work!

2 out of 5 eggsok....but not ok for me

Pros: -connects to the Internet...pretty much it
-Can receive up to 300 Mbps

Cons: If you are planning on buying this for gaming don't, you will constantly have horrible lag spikes I'm talking about randomly going from 30 ping to 400 ping,.....yeah so just. No

Other Thoughts: Good if you are just gonna stream and browse the web

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It worked one time for over 10 minutes.

Cons: Signal will drop out anywhere between 1 to 10 minutes after starting computer in Windows 8.1. Have reinstalled drivers multiple times. When device is unplugged and plugged back into computer after dropping signal, computer will freeze for a few minutes and computer will not recognize device unless it is restarted.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Garbage

Pros: Pretty fast, good for Wireless-N networking when it performs correctly, cool design.

Cons: Sadly, the cons are what make this product awful. Does not function correctly in Windows 8 or 8.1 even with new drivers. Constantly stops working and I have to restart the computer to fix the problem. Causes other USB devices to become unresponsive until unplugged. I have had a few BSOD's with this card in use. It's really sad because when it's fully functional it works perfectly. Netgear just didn't do the right thing this time around. It's hit and miss.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this card unless you want to push your luck and hope you don't get the same one most of us have received.

5 out of 5 eggsOwned a few months now

Pros: Fantastic strength with this little device. Only installed the driver, not the complete software package. The signal was so strong, had to put a glass over it to keep it from interrupting my VO-IP phone connection. Will definitely order another one in the future if I get another computer that does not come with wifi. This device has never failed over the last few months. No lag during online videos or streaming.

Cons: Not a single one.

Other Thoughts: For those who are having trouble with this device, be sure that your wireless router or modem/router combo is less than a year old or this device will not be compatible. Am using it with a Netgear wireless router, so they are definitely compatible.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Plugs right in and once you load the drivers, fires right up. I've had this on my new desktop build for a couple of weeks and it has worked flawlessly with my wireless router.

Cons: None that I can think of.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible!

Pros: works (some of the time), good range

Cons: often disconnects, software will not work unless connected to the internet.

Other Thoughts: i purchased this for a new PC i had built. it started to disconnect randomly. sometimes i will have to restart my computer to fix this. their customer support is the worst. I would not recommend buying this.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid so far

Pros: Had it up and running for a little over a week, no dropped signal, no hesistation, scores same bandwidth as the computer plugged directly into the router for internet. Not sure about network transfers as I don't have a network setup but workse well for the general internet.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This thing had terrible reviews, not sure if I just got lucky or they didn't know what they were doing. Everything has worked as it should so far for me.

2 out of 5 eggsNot recommended

Pros: When it works, it works

Cons: It rarely works.

Other Thoughts: Daily, this adapter stops working. I have to unplug this adapter, or reboot my computer to get it to connect again. When it works, it does its job. However, I cannot recommend this product, as it should always work, not just when it feels like it.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks But Runs A Bit Warm

Pros: It comes with an extension cable and cradle that can be used with other adapters. It also finds available networks in the area with no problem.

Cons: I am having the same problem that some others are having with connection rates on "N" routers of 11 Mbps. But it is connecting to my ":G" router so I am satisfied with it for now.

Other Thoughts: Windows XP SP3 - All Updates
Software version WNA3100_v1.1.3.22.

This software version seems to be working well with my Win-XP system on my "G" router. The adapter does seem to be quite a bit warmer than the "G" adapter that I have. When I connect to my neighbor's "N" router, it gets downright hot.

I have read other reviews that stated that the unit didn't last long. I hope that's not the case. I have been using my "G" adapter for more than ten years without so much as a hiccup.
