5 out of 5 eggsCan't Imagine Not Getting This!!

Pros: Convenient if you have devices that require a wired connection, very low loss (had our ISP installer measure with us the differences between devices plugged into this), and simple to setup.

Cons: There is a slight loss, but likely due to a newer apartment building with good wiring, this is very slight. Could potentially facilitate a power surge or brown-out, but this can be remedied by finding a surge protected that includes a specific outlet for a powerline adapter (the regular outlets in a surge protector do not carry the internet signal).

Other Thoughts: Overall, this was a great purchase and we even purchased another to use with other devices around the apartment.

1 out of 5 eggsonly includes 1 unit?!?

Pros: couldn't tell you how well it works since it needs two to operate..

Cons: had i known and this was clearly stated i would have gotten a pair but now i have to wait another week for a second since its conveniently "non-refundable" im forced to buy another one from you..

Other Thoughts: would be appreciated if you clearly state it only includes 1 unit and not let it up to the consumer to find this out the hard way

5 out of 5 eggsThe Little Engine That Could

Pros: Refurbished one has been working like a brand-new ones. No complaints over a year. Bought one more refurb. set and work like a champ.

Cons: Sorry, it is not FREE!!!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks really well.

Pros: I bought these on sale for $34.99 a piece - I picked up two. Signal over the power line is rock solid and plenty fast for everyday networking usage. I'm not streaming any HD video over these little guys, but they work great for web browsing, streaming music, etc. Recommended!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Another reason why I picked these up is that they work well with my older powerline networking components - the XAV101.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad for old

Pros: Works flawlessly with speeds as advertised. Fit seamlessley with older versions so the compatibility made this product even better!

Cons: Not a single con....

Other Thoughts: Why buy new when I can buy refurbished that works at a fraction of the cost?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: No long cables to run. As long as your house AC wiring is good you will get decent performance. My house is 35 years old. I got these for less that $25 a piece.

Cons: Refurb. But they performed so well that if it does go out on me I will buy them again either new or refurb.

Other Thoughts: I used three of these to hook up a modem/router to another wireless access point and a home theater pc, all in different rooms, around a two-story house. Piece of cake and almost a year in service with no hiccups.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!!!!

Pros: All was running in less than a minute, plug and play.
It is better if you made the changes at the security level, you will just need to click at the button at the same time to pair them.

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsNetgear provides no support

Pros: When it works, it works. Plug-n-play.

Cons: Mine failed as soon as it warmed up. I was passed the 30-day NewEgg return window, so I filed a case with Netgear. Netgear support acknowledged the product was defective, but refused to provide a replacement because the serial number had been blacked out during the refurbishing process. Netgear even claimed that they do not sell refurbished products, and that if I received a refurbished product, it was unauthorized, and I was not entitled to any warranty service. Yes, despite the fact that my product arrived in a Netgear factory-sealed box, they claimed that it was some kind of rogue counterfeit unauthorized item for which they accept no responsibility whatsoever. As if NewEgg would ever do such a thing.

NewEgg customer support stepped up to the plate and allowed me to return it for a full refund. Go NewEgg! But this is certainly the last refurbished Netgear product I ever purchase.
