if you have a n300 wifi card it connects at 144

Cons: this is not 600 it is 300 one channel and 300on the other channel.
duel band is bad idea 5gh has no range.
no external antennas only good for 30 ft

Cons: Worst router I have ever had. This thing has been a constant struggle. It frequently and randomly limits my speed from 75mbps to 10, I have had to forward an encyclopedia of ports to game (still doesn't work), and it has the worst UI I can imagine.

Other Thoughts: I have never had a good Netgear router, now I will never have another Netgear.

Pros: Excellent piece of hardware, well designed, good features, and plenty of plugins. Worked well and fast, what little I was able to use it.

Cons: Not VDSL compatible. :(

Other Thoughts: If you have VDSL through places like centurylink, stay away from this product. It only works on the older ADSL/ADSL+2 systems, so check with your ISP. VDSL and this product, do not mix. Which is a shame.

Pros: Ethernet is extremely fast. After whining to my local ISP about issues that I later learned was the Netgear's inability to function properly, my ISP paid for this piece of garbage.

Cons: Wireless range is horrible. Barely reaches back to the bedrooms from the living room. Lose internet connection at random frequently, especially when ethernet cables are plugged in.

Other Thoughts: Can't wait to get a different router/modem.

Pros: Works good when it works, but thats only until it goes bad again on a weekly basis.

Cons: I bought a Version 1 DGND3700 over a year ago that never worked correctly, it was replaced and the new one had the same issues that are known across the community of customers. Since this was an on going issue that was never resolved I figure Netgear would fix it or replace it, I was proven wrong and it was a waste of $200.00 I spent on a router upgrade that end up being the worst router I ever had. I work for IBM and have certifications in networking and work on Adtrans & CISCo's and Vanguards for years, this was clearly a product issue that Netgear refuses to resolve. The only resolution I was given was an offer to extend Tech support for a year for over $127.00, I don't see how that fixes a issue that was there form day 1 and never was fixed. I will be sending this to every reveiw site on every Netgear product to show that if you have a faulty product you may never get it fixed through Netgear, I will never purchase another ite, as long as I live from this company.

Pros: Works good when it is working

Cons: you always have to reboot on a weekly basis. I have had it replaced multiple times, update to the highest level firmware plus they gave me an special firmware used to fix hard issues to only work for a month. Stay away from this cheaply made router that cost you an arm and a leg.

Pros: -Really simple setup
-Stable and fast wireless connection

Cons: For some reasons the cable connections does not work in my main computer,I've tried every ports with different cables and it didn't work but my other computers don't have this issue

Pros: Very Fast
Expected less & got more
Very good for streaming media - NETFLIX
Good range - I can be out on the street almost 100' away & my phone stays connected

Cons: The software is nice to look at & gives you all you need, but it's confusing. It took over an hour to get the setup I wanted.

Other Thoughts: Just a thought - the negative comments here could be a set up issue. It was for me, - 1 egg
Firmware Version
V1.1.00.12_1.00.12NA did fix some issues & should be installed ASAP if you have an older version.
Rubber feet? Lay this flat? I don't think this device was intended to lay flat - it will get warm in a vertical position, flat, it could get hot. The stand is secured with screws with the intention of staying on IMHO.

Pros: Intuitive and easy-to-navigate GUI

Cons: Wi-Fi cannot browse the local network if you are not using DHCP on the router to handle your IP addressing. This is a crucial flaw that means no one in my work network can use the wireless, as I have a separate Windows server handling DHCP duties.

The Netgear N600 will not pass traffic to the rest of the network unless you use the DHCP function on the router. This is not an option for me (or anyone else who uses a Windows domain with DHCP and DNS communicating with each other).

Other Thoughts: I have two Linksys WRT54G routers from 2004 and a 4-year old D-Link touer that can do thiswith no problems, but not this $150 router made in 2012. So the result here is that I have to turn off Wi-Fi on this brand new modem/router and use five year old equipment to act as a Wi-Fi access point. I have two Linksys WRT54G routers from 2004 and a 4-year old D-Link router that can do this with no problems, but not this $150 router made in 2012.

So the result here is that I have to turn off Wi-Fi on this brand new modem/router and use five year old equipment to act as a Wi-Fi access point. This issue is the top thread on the Netgear support forums and to date there is no solution. Poor QA from Netgear to not test such a crucial feature before shipping.

Pros: Specs on paper look great - as a matter of fact I have a hard time finding an alternative dual band gigabit ADSL modem/router. Decent admin GUI. From my brief experience WiFi works well on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Cons: ADSL modem does not work with AT&T. Genie software tries to autoconfigure the modem but in the end tells the DSL cable is not plugged in. All this while the DSL light is steady green. Only once in 4 hours of time I wasted on this piece of hardware did the connection succeeded. After powercycling it all went back to bad. Configuring DSL parameters manually does not help.

Other Thoughts: Upgrading to the latest firmware 1.1.00.12 does not help.
Conclusion: not worth my time or money.
