1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work for Apple devices

Pros: Worked fine for 6 months

Cons: Suddenly Stopped working for my iPad and 2 iphones. Firmware update did not help

Other Thoughts: No idea why but suddenly stopped working for my iPad 2 and iPad 3 and iphones 4 and 4s, could not make it work, they connect but no internet access. What should I do with it? Although Desktop PC works fine with it. Looking for another extender.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsWi-fi extender

Pros: This was about as easy as plugging in, and hitting a button on my router and the wi-fi extender. No issues! Definately increased range into areas that were dead zones.

Cons: None as of yet

Other Thoughts: This product had simple instructions, and quite honestly could have been done by my kids. I am not tech savvy but it was easy set up. The price on this and the quick shipping were a bonus

5 out of 5 eggsWork great

Pros: Easily configurable with WPS or just logging into it and using the wizard. The best feature is that it creates a new SSID with _EXT at the end of your current SSID. Some don't, and often some devices get stuck on the furthest wireless and don't jump to your extended signal. This extender solves this problem.

Cons: I paid $64 for one on NewEgg at the end of January. Now they are $99. That's too much money for any extender.

Other Thoughts: I've noticed that NewEgg has been inching up there prices on a lot of stuff we buy all the time. 5 dollars here, 10 dollars there. If you build computers or quote network upgrades, better check your costs often or you'll end up with no profit.

5 out of 5 eggsLike a Dream

Pros: This thing works like a dream. Ver very easy to connect. Range is very good. Very little and does not look bad on the wall at all.

Cons: Take alittle loss in speed but what doesnt with a wireless connection.

Other Thoughts: For all of you complaining about thie being difficult to set up and connect, sell all your computer stuff wireless stuff, sell it all because you obviously are not smart enough to own any of it. My 6 year old could have set this up. Oh and for all of you reviewing this that got a DOA, you just need to send it back go elsewhere. I am not really sure how you can review an item that doesnt work. Its not NEWEGGS fault at all nor can you give a complete review. Stuff happens. And quit giving yourself a high Tech knowledge caue you are not.

4 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: Easy to config
Delivers a strong signal
Decent Price
Easy to hide

Cons: None, really. Although a lot of people who don't understand radio basics get frustrated with range extenders that fail to blast their home signal out to the concrete bunker in the backyard.

Other Thoughts: I've set up a few of these in the homes of clients. So far, everyone is quite satisfied. It works well for Neflix streaming, HBO-Go, etc.

Pros: Will let you know if I ever get it, coming by Fed Ex so it will take forever. Checked tracking live
In Indiana, started off in Tennessee, went to Mississippi, now it went to Ohio, I figure maybe Michigan
Iowa, and Wisconsin next.

Cons: None yet

2 out of 5 eggsWorked Good for about 6 months...

Pros: This product works great out of the box and is extremely easy to set up.

Cons: Quality seems to deteriorate over time. After about 6 months this product would disconnect frequently and slow up the main network it was configured off of.

Other Thoughts: Completely dissatisfied and would not reccomend this product. I recently purchased the Belkin equivalent and works like gold and has better support.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to set up. Easy to move around to find best location.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've set up many of these as part of my onsite PC repair company. Easy to setup. Clients love the increased wifi range. Never hear otherwise and assume all still work fine.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking like a charm after quick setup.

Pros: Easy setup, strong signal, source SSID need not be broadcast-enabled.

Cons: It's a "wall wart". You'll need a wireless-enabled computer or wireless device w/ web browser on hand to configure, which may be a surprise.

Other Thoughts: If you can't stand any kind of "wall wart" on an available outlet, then avoid. But otherwise, I can't recommend highly enough. I'd been enduring an "Encore" brand router/repeater (in repeater mode) for months because I was so penny foolish, and never knew extending could be this easy. Setup and day-to-day reliability were nothing but a giant headache on that thing.

LED indicators on this are diagnostically useful, and the extended-area signal is strong and reliable.
