Rating: 3/5Amazing Router, playful useless customer support
Pros: steady stable reliable wifi fully featured 4 SSDI with isolation option mac filter, Ip reservation, LAN filter easy firmware upgrade power off button Wireless power off button gipabyte ports USB share drive and printer
Cons: - very slow boot process: 45sec to 1 minutes to get wireless active. - bulky desktop software (genie): installs a service that runs in the backround and at the startup, calls home a lot downloading ads. (tough to be firewalled as it needs aceess to your network and router to allow their configuration. - Easy share browser application interface very hard to install and not responsive and not detected equally by diffrent browsers: buggy and not working : customer support called made me go through 1 hour verifying credentials and did never ask me for the actual technical issue: intimidation + wearing out of reluctant insisting customers to get rid of them in a civilized manner... installs a service that runs all the time in the background even when not needed. - 2-4 MB/sec transfert speed for shared usb drive, tricky and needs special attention to security options for remote access.
Other Thoughts: In my humble experience Netgear routers were always the most user friendly, reliable and maintenance free routers: this one is the best router I've ever owned but customer services is useless. Recommended router.
Would like to compare with ASUS dual USB N router (has an amazing user interface and performance)

Rating: 5/5It's pretty nice
Pros: Much more stable than my very old Linksys router. Lots of nice features. Very acceptable range on the 2.4GHz. Can't say anything about the 5GHz because I don't have any devices that support it.
Cons: I've been reading some not so positive things about the firmware.
Other Thoughts: The price dropped $10 two weeks after I bought it... I can't wait to try out the readyShare on it. If the firmware is bad, I'll put DD-WRT or OpenWRT on it.

Rating: 5/5best wireless router I've ever had....
Pros: - Easy set-up; better than most - rock solid signal, never any connection problems - no need to reboot every couple weeks like a lot of cheaper routers - delivers speed as advertised. - OpenDNS family security that's easy to set up, very customizable and free forever - works without fuss to keep **** and worse out of your house.
Cons: - not a lot of cons - price I paid? Got it as an emergency replacement in a brick and mortar store when the old cheapo router died, and paid a LOT more than the current price at Newegg.....
Other Thoughts: Best router I've ever had - has worked well and without even a reboot for almost a year now. I haven't even thought about it until I saw it on sale here....

Rating: 5/5No complaints
Pros: It works. Both bands run together with the same SSID allowing me seamless sharing between all my devices while still maximizing speeds. The UI compared to the 3700 is different but its nice having all of the "advanced" options all in one spot rather than spread out over multiple tabs. I've also been using it for its NAS capabilities. The firmware is still flakey, and I do have make sure the drive is turned on before I plug it in, but these are not isolated to the device and have gotten better (and worse at times) with firmware. Just make sure when getting a good to end router to stay on top of the firmware.
Cons: Don't really have anything bad to say. So far the network problems I am experiencing I haven't been able to pin on the router.

Rating: 2/5Keeps Dropping Wireless
Pros: Looks and Ad. Company name. Great user interface, which is why I get the router a rating of 2, otherwise it would be one.
Cons: Keeps dropping wireless connections. After only a few hours, 2 to say 6, all the wireless connections are dropped. IPhone, internet radio, laptop and even my new Kindle Fire. The only way to get the wireless connections back is to power cycle the router which is a big pain as it is located on the second floor. I have always used Netgear and when I needed to purchase a new router they were my first pick. Now I'm not too sure. I live in the country and have no neighbors so interference is not an issue. The router was updated to the latest firmware so there should not be an issue there.
Other Thoughts: Maybe someone can fix this issue. Sorry to see Netgear have these problems.

Rating: 2/5Great, when it works
Pros: Easy to set up. Great speeds and like the ability to share my USB printer over the network.
Cons: The 2.4GHz radio drops connection constantly. Have to reboot the router to get it back up. 5GHz and ethernet are fine.
Other Thoughts: Going to try the latest firmware (10.0.0.40) to see if it works and if not will contact Netgear support. Hopefully they can resolve this otherwise I want my money back.

Rating: 1/5Do NOT buy!
Pros: Looks nice. When it works, it works well. Built in USB.
Cons: Where to start. I've already had to RMA one device because it was over heating, making a high pitched whine and dropping wireless signal. Updates to the firmware did nothing and I was sick of having to reset the router every time the wireless dropped. In addition to that the support sucks. Most manufacturers have a number you can call any time for service. Netgear gives you 90 days or something. After that its email or click to chat only. It's almost like they try to make it impossible to get service and support for their product. That in itself has been the biggest turn off. I understand things break but if you can't get support for it why would you go back? I have since gotten the replacement for the RMA and I'm still having issues. While it's not over heating the wireless just randomly drops. My kids will be watching Netfix on the Wii and then it just freezes and tries to reload the show they are watching. It eventually times out and gives an error then I have to go back to the router and restart it. Such a pain! I got this router because it had a USB port in the back and because I've had such great success with Netgear products in the past. I'm seriously looking at getting a new router even though this one is brand new. If it doesn't function as a wireless router then I need to get something else. Sorry Netgear, I won't be getting another one of your products.

Rating: 1/5Bad product
Pros: What can I say, in the 3 months I had it nothing but problems.
Cons: Singal keeps dropping, even on the eithernet. Then the wireless gave out and the router start buzzing. I send an email to netgear support, they respond by copying the online help on how to configure the router and sending it in email. Bad product, lousy support, stay away

Rating: 4/5What am I doing?
Pros: Powerful. Neat looking. Great options. Good range. Good security.
Cons: Can be confusing at times.
Other Thoughts: DON'T LOSE YOUR LOGIN AND PASSWORD INFO! That being said, can you guess what I did? Great router for a 1k sq ft 2bd apartment. 2 PCs hardwired, and the PS3 wireless. I strem HD from the 2nd bedroom to the living room daily.
