Pros: I could ping it.

Cons: All it was able to do is blink the power and test lights.

Other Thoughts: Will probably look for something local to replace it. That way, I won't have to pay $15 to RMA a $40 item.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat router for the price.

Pros: First off, the speeds are great! I pay for a 30mbit internet. I ran a speed test on speedtest.net and the result was anywhere from 28-38 (during off hours). So the router shows no signs of latency. Second, the range and signal strength is way better than the range of the FIOS routers that Verizon provides. In my opinion I'm surprised this router doesn't get more attention/reviews. Definitely a great bang for your buck.

Cons: None so far. Time always tells. My previous router was a Linksys and was over 10 years old before it finally died on me.

5 out of 5 eggsGood router

Pros: Setup was straightforward. Plugged it in, turned it on, and was able to connect to the router via an ethernet port. I had an older Netgear router previously, and the web management interface is very similar. It wouldn't connect to the internet at first, but a couple of power cycles fixed that. Haven't had any problems with that since.

So far it seems to be reliable. I bought this because my old one was starting to lock up and require a restart on a weekly basis. It was 8+ years old, so it was probably time. So far, the new one hasn't given any problems.

The wireless range seems pretty good. Coverage through the whole house with the router stashed in the basement (yeah, I know it's not the best place, but it's convenient). Seems a little stronger than the old one, but it's hard to say for sure.

I like the included snap-on feet that let you stand it on end. Gives it a lot smaller footprint, which makes it fit easier in the cubby I have it in.

Cons: Nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for an inexpensive wireless router that was b/g/n capable, and this fit the bill. I'm not pushing enough data to need the n-speed right now, but expect to in the future.

The guest network feature is kind of cool. Lets you make the internet available to visitors, while keeping your own machines and shares hidden.

I haven't touched the parental controls so far, and don't plan to.

Overall, it does what I need, and doesn't give me problems. What more can you ask for?

5 out of 5 eggsGood Router

Pros: Very stable, reliable and rarely loses connection. It usually takes a brown out. Antenna range is amazing. I have used mine for two years with no complaints. Web page setup is straight forward. Cable connections are full bandwidth of my internet connection too. Cabled file transfers with direct connection are no waiting.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought one originally for a friend who wanted to have a link to the internet for his TV downstairs to his Roku box and still have internet upstairs on the PC. This was a BIG house. The original add for this router boasted a strong range. They were right. I was so impressed I bought one for myself. I use it to link to my PC down stairs. Like I said two years and the same with my friend. His is still working too.
