Pros: The product was delivered quickly
Cons: The unit is very sluggish, to the point where it is nearly impossible to navagate through the setup. The settings applied are randomly implemented. After three days, and two factory resets, going through every possible menu, and option, this is the first time i ever gave up on a managed switch. Some options are java based and that adds to the issue but that is trivial compared to the overall difficulty getting this POE from box to rack. It is loud, and the "Quick Start" page suggests using a local USB connection and editing the settings with a terminal emulator, before advancing to the login screen. i have many Netgear Enterprise grade appliances installed, this one is one to avoid.
Other Thoughts: I personally had to go to a retail store and purchase a Netgear POE that would allow the company i was installing work by the end of today.. i stuck with Netgear because the price and value is almost always favorable. Given i spent three days on the GSM7248P, i just think they missed the mark with this item. This does not reflect on any other Netgear item i have purchased in the past. This is an isolated incident in my opinion.

Pros: Easy to configure just read the quickstart guide
Cons: The unit ships with old software that causes POE equipment to reboot for know aparent reason. Also one of the three units I received would not take the software update and had to be RMA with Netgear. All three of the units apeared to have been used you could see where the rack screws were secured on the mounting brackets. One of the units was registered to another company when I went to register it. New Egg wanted me to return the unit but I had already spent time updating the software so I asked them to work with Netgear and move the registration to my compamy.
Other Thoughts: I would only recommend thsi product to people who understand firmware updates. If you are not willing to spend time on line or on hold with tech support you should not purchase this unit. I will see what other products are available before purchasing again. I will see who else sells also I do not like that New Egg sold me used equipment.
