5 out of 5 eggsExcellent For the price.

Pros: Dual band
AC 1750
DD-WRT flashable

Cons: No USB 3.0 port

Other Thoughts: Have been using this for a week now, no issues and working like a champ. I had TP Link C7 AC1750 which used to disconnect when I was transferring huge amount of data on 5Ghz channel. Not with this one.. I can transfer data on 5Ghz without any disconnections. It is very good router for the price I got it at in a deal at newegg around 30% off on refurbished model.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy!!!!!

Pros: when it did work! Was great for the need of household of a media players on multiple devices from tablets to gaming systems with Comcast blast speeds.

Cons: Would disconnect at a moment notice, firmware from purchase is faulty and need constant reboots, and will give you the green blinking globe of death. If you have no tech knowledge or no luck then good luck with the cmd or tftp program, and that's is still no guarantee. The product will brick at either before or after 1 year guranted and you will have to pay for tech support after your 90 days from purchase and that is no guarantee of the problem being resolved. If they do get it working again, it only take takes breaker blow out or power outage too blow this system into brickville and once again corrupted. They Netgear Tech support will reply with stand by the product and if you don't pay for there support they just continue to give that speech that your case is a one in million and they fix the issue all the time with no recurrence. I'm not trolling either check the web and not just cnet 4stars. Do your research and you will see.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a R6300 Dual band wireless router for $220.00, that same day I call to ask for assistance with connections issues.(1st mistake as they mark my purchase and start the self destruct clock). Exactly 4 days after my warranty expires I now begin the game of call customer service; and wait an hour to speak with someone. Then get told if you want help; it will cost $79.99. I then purchase the prem-customer support( price tag is now $300+). They slap a band-aid on the so called connection issue when its actually and bad firmware built into the system to disrupt after every power outage or plug being disconnected. Called the company today and they won't even acknowledge the issue that supposedly I'm the first ever and only happens to repeatedly. At one point I called customer service and was told that my product was dead but after ending the call and trouble shooting alone got it to work again for a month to be slapped with the green blinking globe of death again. Its irresponsible of any company to sell a product a such a high cost and ignore an issue that is striking its whole community. Now I have an expensive brick on my table the does nothing but blink waiting for me to pull the life support plug. Then it to the trash with $300.00.Never again netgear.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Dre,

The standard NETGEAR warranty is as follows:

1 year hardware warranty
90 days phone support
Email support is valid for warranty support period

We apologize for the trouble you've had so far and would like to investigate your case. Please email us at newegg@netgear.com with a copy and paste of your review along with the case numbers that support gave you.

Regards,

NETGEAR Team

5 out of 5 eggsReliable High Speed

Pros: Great design, it has easy usb access on one side. I bought a range extender with it, (a special offer), but do not need it. WIFI is at full TW speed and the router seems to maintain that well. Internet surfing is quick. Netflix rarely buffers.

Cons: It is perhaps a little big, but the narrow design takes up little space on my office desk.

Other Thoughts: I'm an Apple guy, but Apple WIFI routers are just too expensive. This was a good alternative and meets our needs very well.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Customer Service

Pros: Well featured router with good performance. Fantastic technical support.
My case (case number C6558277) was handled excellently by Briegan (ID: AR004214). She walked me through everything very patiently to get the router working with Comcast after switching from AT&T. I would stick with D-Link in the future based on this experience.

Cons: A little difficult to get working with my Motorola cable modem but tech support was able to help me out.

4 out of 5 eggsNetgear R6300

Pros: Very simple setup, long range and has 2 USB ports. This router has a very wide range compared to most routers I've owned. At the price of $79.00 I couldn't pass up this deal.

Cons: Non yet however I have read numerous reviews that says it dies after a few months. powerfully this won't be the case.

Other Thoughts: Great price compared to most routers.
