Increase your wireless data-transfer speeds and range with the Linksys WRT150N Wireless-N Home router. It uses the latest Draft 802.11n wireless technologies offering greater range and data speeds than the older 802.11b/g standards, (when used with compatible Draft 802.11n wireless adapters) while still being fully backwards compatible with them—perfect for mixed-mode environments.

The router's MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology also makes it a natural choice for multimedia fanatics, minimizing errors and optimizing data speed through the use of multiple antennas for both sending and receiving.

There's also a built-in four-port full-duplex 10/100 Ethernet switch for wired connections to your network. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a wireless connection!

  • newegg Wireless-N With Wireless-N (draft 802.11n), the farther away you are, the more speed advantages you get. The LINKSYS WRT150N dramatically increases the throughput by doubling the radio band when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, yielding up to 9 times the speed of standard Wireless-G (802.11g) products. The router works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipments as well.
  • newegg MIMO Technology MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technology uses multiple radios to create a robust signal that travels up to 3 times farther than standard 802.11g products and reduces dead spots.
  • newegg Wireless Security The LINKSYS WRT150N Router encodes all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength 256-bit encryption to help protect your data and privacy. It can serve as your network's DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility.
  • newegg Web-based Manager With the built-in Web-based Manager feature, configure, monitor and reset the print server via the web-based utility.

4 out of 5 eggsawesome once you upgrade to dd-wrt

Pros: dd-wrt gives this router a much better feature set, including client-bridge mode which is great for non-wireless devices such as the xbox-360 and old laptops that don't support b/g/n. Works great as router-only with wireless disabled for use with another AP for small to mid sized home networks, or as an AP for older legacy B and G wireless clients.

Cons: The draft-n capability does restrict its capability a bit and newer APs will outperform it several times over.

Other Thoughts: This was given to me by someone recently who upgraded to a newer wireless router, once dd-wrt was installed I have used it as a router-only (no AP), as a client bridge and as an AP for older devices like laptops with G networking built-in. The speeds were not so good but did work reliably nonetheless.

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely unstable at highest speed

Pros: Low price
Looks good
Easy setup

Cons: Bad secured connections at high speeds. Will only connect at 54G for secured connections otherwise you get dropped constantly on the LAN.

1 out of 5 eggsWorthless

Pros: None

Cons: this is the worst router i've ever owned. i bought the first one and returned it after it shut off randomly and dropped the sifnal randomly. I got the second one and this time it stayed on but still dropped the signal randomly. i tried everything. Changing the channel, changing the passkey encryption, static IP, G only mode, mixed mode, everything. It would never remain connected for more than 5 minutes. I flashed it wit a new firm ware and it was the same. This is one of three linksys products I've bought that have failed. i'm never buying there stuff again.

Other Thoughts: The tech support was genuinely interested in helping, but had no idea what was going on and were for the most part unfamiliar with this product. Newegg was great about granting an exchange, but i could not return the second one because my 30 days were up.Linksys needs to seriously reevaluate their new business strategy. Cheap parts are not going to get you ahead in the long run.

2 out of 5 eggsLinksys lies

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't live up to the claims for increased range and speed. I had better signal strength with my G router WRT 54G. 4 calls to Tech support and all the time wasted trying to get the thing to perform better..didn't work. Will think twice before I buy another Linksys product

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product by linksys

Pros: Never Had a problem with this devices always on and always working. Bought a dell XPS 1530 recently with AGN card and wanted to upgrade to N network. On average I get about 78Mbps throughout my 1800 Sq Ft. house. Works great with Vista, linux, and XP. I think this is the best N router you can get for its money.

Cons: The design but other then that no problems yet. There is still no firmware upgrade for this product and starting to wonder if any firmware upgrade will ever be available.

Other Thoughts: None

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Web interface is standard Linksys. Works out of the box and setup was painless.

Cons: Wake on LAN (WOL) doesn't work with this router. It appears other people have the same issue and there is no resolution from Linksys. The only thing you can possibly do is flash to dd-wrt, which is a several step process with the possibility of bricking your router.

Other Thoughts: Linksys: allow broadcast of WOL to the entire network.

1 out of 5 eggsHorible router!!

Pros: nice purple color

Cons: This is a horrible router. I "upgraded" to this N router from an old B/G router only to be highly disappointed. The connections drops on average 2-3 daily, so I have to constantly reset this thing.

Other Thoughts: Stay away, not recommended

2 out of 5 eggsNot Very good

Pros: When it does work its fast and strong connections

Cons: horrible problems depending on how you use it, only fixable through 3rd party updates. See below

Other Thoughts: I got this router a couple of months ago to play games/run a network in my house. After a while the connection became unreliable. Looked up the problem and found that all types in that model have the problem at some point and no firmware update was made to fix it. 3rd party updates help fix it. Otherwise, its alright

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy Set up, Nice improvement in both range and speed over my old wireless G equipment, easy to use security settings, and a relatively small form factor.

Cons: No Problems as of yet...

Other Thoughts: Package arrived two days early (I love Newegg...) Opened item and started set up. I have a network including 3 wired computers and two wireless notebooks and was able to have the entire network working in a matter of minutes. Linksys's user interface is very easy to understand and all of the settings for the router are easy to work with. This is a great product for anyone needing a Wireless N network in their home or office!
