Great adapter until I upgraded to windows 7 (64bit)
Reviewed By: Min on 11/17/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: This was the best adapter i've owned. It's worked for me non stop for half a year.
Cons: I recently upgraded to windows 7 and the blasted thing refuses to work now. POOOOR driver support. Looks like Linksys contracted the hardware out to some company in China
Other Thoughts: That company in china is called Ralink The model of the hardware inside is RT2500 http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=1 Go there to download the updated drivers. It's in China so the speed will be horrible. It works though

no windows 7 x64 driver support
Reviewed By: nattylife on 11/13/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: worked great with win xp for a couple of years no problem
Cons: when i upgraded to windows 7 x64 constant BSODs due to the 32 bit driver.
Other Thoughts: when i went to the linksys forums i got a flat out response "device not supported in windows 7" and nothing more. had to dig around and find some drivers from the actual chipset manufacturer and so far so good. this paired with their WRT54G router at the time looked like their flagship products, its a shame that they havent even tried to create 64 bit drivers for it. device seems to be good, the support, not so much.
