Drops Wireless Connection
- Pros: Ethernet works perfectly.
- Cons: Wireless connection drops all the time. Random disconnects from the router. I have multiple laptops and am using both the G and the N networks. Laptops drop wireless connection at the exact same time.
- Other Thoughts: I have updated the firmware and it still isn't working. It is very disappointing because I have always purchased from Linksys. I might have to return this or get one that is not dropping connection all the time.
pretty good
- Pros: I was considering using ddwrt, but after i updated the linksys/cisco firmware I had all of the options that I need. My laptop has been connected for more than 24 hours and hasn't shown any drops in the logs. It's really fast and works well with my other routers acting as WAPs. It looks nice where it is too and just seems to add more visual appeal to my desk. I tested the storage link and it works really well also, but I'm not too worried about storage at this point.
- Cons: It didn't come with a stand...had to use one from an older router.
- Other Thoughts: Wish it came with a stand. The power brick for this thing is actually bigger than the one for my x200. Something I found amusing.
Fantastic router !
- Pros: This router worked right out of the box , took 10 minutes to set up and have running . Did not use the cd , logged into 192.168.1.1 and set up .
Great range , no more congestion , video , voip mp3 on one chanel , surfing on the other . In all 8 computers running smoothly , not one had trouble hooking up wireless ,and a 500gb hard drive Don't understand all the neg reviews , must have been defective units . That or the cd install messes things up ? Will soon use ddwrt to see how much more it can do . If you can find one of the wrt600n get it ! Tried a wrt610 , this blows it away .
- Cons: wish it came with a stand , used the one from my old wrt300n , worked , lets it run cooler.
wish it had detachable antennas
- Other Thoughts: best home router I have ever used , and I have had d-link netgear and belkin .
