Pros: I decided to toss in my 2 cents after reading all the bad reviews here. Bought this last august ('08) and didn't even try to use the linksys software before flashing to dd-wrt. Linksys/Cisco hardware is far superior to their soft/firmware. Requires the mini-build to be flashed before the full build can be flashed on, but since then I've had to manually reset it TWICE. In over a year. With pretty heavy .torrent loads from a 15Mb fiber connection.
Cons: Does get a bit warm, but I have it mounted to a wall with 1/4" space between wall and unit (just used longer nails than necessary).
Other Thoughts: Caveat to all the above: I have only had this running in N-band, and rarely to more than 2 clients. But, seriously, i've only had to power cycle this thing twice...in a YEAR.
DD-WRT + Linksys = rock solid.

linksysbycisco routers suck
Reviewed By: parman on 11/22/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: When it works, it works good.
Cons: But when it doesn't work, Cisco does not support it.
Other Thoughts: I will never buy Cisco/Linksys products again! Two routers and each of them fail within 3 months after warranty. One dropped VPN connections from day one but it was out of warranty the day I bought it. The other worked fine for 14 months then started dropping a single connection. Upgraded the firmware, it started dropping all connections. Linksys will not support them.

What a piece of junk!

Pros: None. The bottom line is that hardware needs to function as expected. Attractive styling means nothing if the product doesn't work as expected.
Cons: I bought this as an upgrade to a very cheap D-LINK wireless router. The D-LINK didn't offer Wireless N and the Linksys did. Unfortunately none of the three laptops I needed to work with this device could get a sustainable network connection using B, G, or N, even when they were sitting right next to the router.
Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money.
