You just got your high speed modem (it's cable, DSL, fiber optics, something nifty), and you've got your computers, and you've got your wireless interface cards. Now we need the final element: the router.
With four wired ports and the wireless connection, you're ready to take on the Internet and all it has to offer. Or maybe you just need a local network off the 'Net for your small office. Maybe you'll hook your desktop up by cable, and carry your wireless laptop to your favorite sitting spot. Control and configuration are easy with browsers like Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.0 (or newer). (It's best to do your configuration from a hard-wired connection, not the wireless.)
Could this be the router for you? Could be. That's your decision, not ours. But we'll be here, cheerfully waiting for you while you make up your mind.
Pros: Linksys has been known for high quality products at a great price for many years.
Sleak looking router.
Cons: This router was a nightmare to attempt to get working. I hold down a Sr. level posistion at the local university for networking and tech support. I can run networks in my sleep. I have a home built linux based router already. I purchased this to upgrade to G-speeds and to work with 2 linksys cameras I bought. This router wouldn't route. I could get it connected to my ISP and get an IP address, and my computers would get an IP address, but accessing the internet wouldn't work. DNS was all set, but the router just wouldn't function. I re-configured it as a basic access point for the G wireless to only find out that the router would forget how to work every 24-48 hours. I would literally have to powercycle the router ever 24-48 hours just to keep the wireless working. I've had a unnamed access point for 8+ years (only B speed) that hasn't failed yet. There tech support and customer serivce leave a lot to be desired. I'm done with Linksys.
Other Thoughts: I would not reccomend this router to anyone for any reason. If you run into problems and need to replace it they make you pay for shipping on a deffective product. If a product is broken when opened new it should be company policy to replace that item for free without shipping charges.
p.s. newegg took care of me in less than 5 minutes (including the 4 minute hold time to reach someone)

Pros: My previous linksys router was dying on me so I was contemplating on upgrading. The WRT110 was on sale so I checked it out. This router supports Draft N wireless...even though its not stated. Most of my wireless devices are "G" so Draft N wasn't a big deal. But its nice to have. So after a 5 minute install, I was on the internet with all computers and media centers blazing along. My XBOX 360 experiences no lag at all and PC games are smooth as my backside. Thats SMOOTH!! My ITouch can now access Youtube way out in my outdoor garage, which is over 150 feet away...not one clich in playback either!
Cons: The range is so far that I'm sure my neighbors are mootching my Internet connection!!!
Other Thoughts: This router is so easy to setup and the range is unbelievable.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Great reception if you are in the same room. Great speed and easy set-up
Cons: Very poor reception even in the room next door. My G router carries further even with an N adapter.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Looks cool. I am only out $60 bucks - Yeah Right
Cons: Horrible range, disconnects all of the time and in general very unreliable. I tried to reset it, let it sit, and it still had issues. I have purchased Linksys and have sworn by them, but it looks like I will have to switch companies.
Other Thoughts: After getting fed up with dealing with this piece of affluent I switched back to an old Linksys BEFSR and it works prefectly and the range / performance is tons better. Since the put the Cisco name on there, the quality has been lowsy. Give me the old version as this isn't worth the plastic it is housed in.

The router worked great, then slowly died. I am going back to more professional products, albeit at a higher cost, like Juniper Netscreen.
