4 out of 5 eggsMy only card for 6 years.

Pros: -Works well on xp, vista....

-Great lifespan...

-Linksys is a good brand...

Cons: Pricey for what it's capable of. From newegg you'd expect this to be $10-12 not $27

Did not work flawlessly on Windows 7 like others have reported. (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: I've had this card for 6 years on xp and vista machines. On a new Win7-64bit (sp1) build it would not id the card even with the retail driver CD. I had to jump through hoops with other manfuacturer's drivers until I forced the card to think it was some other adapter (RaLink RT61 LAN CARD V2) so I could connect. However, it constantly froze my system. Luckily, Windows updates found an update for the driver and listed it under "non-important"...regardless it recognizes the card as a Linksys card now and all is well.

I'll probably buy a usb adapter and move this into the backup bin.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: great chap card. Windows 7 found it during setup (new build) required ZERO setup. great connection.

Cons: the cd that came with it was un needed and took up to much weight :P

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works as advertised. Required no additional drivers in Windows 7, where it was picked up immediately as a Broadcom 802.11g adapter.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Refurbished pack doesn't come with a low-profile bracket. As newegg states, it is the essentials to use the card, a card with standard PCI bracket, antenna, and a driver CD. I wish I'd read more closely, but this wire tie is doing the trick for now :)

5 out of 5 eggsSimple

Pros: This was easier to set up and get working than the USB adapter I was using. Card works great!

Cons: Cons? Cons, cons... Nope. None.

Other Thoughts: Put the disk in first! Like it says to do... You are not smarter than the installation process!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Router

Pros: This is a great router no problems so far loaded it with DD-WRT SLIM and it functions fine

Cons: More ram would be nice and as cheap as ram is why not?

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfect

Pros: Works perfect in Windows XP. Great savings. Don't bother with the software disc that comes with it.

Cons: The software that comes with it is outdated. Go to the linksys website and download the newest driver software. Install the newest driver then install the card. Worked perfect the first time.

Other Thoughts: Great savings on a linksys wireless card. Just make sure to download the newest driver from linksys before you install it.

4 out of 5 eggsLinksys wins again. Satisfied

Pros: Good price for what you get.
Speedbooster helps this card keep the signal to my computer even 500 feet away from the router through a couple walls.
Its Linksys, of course its good.

Cons: Installation was a pain for this.
Early-on bugs, but it will fix itself.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend you go to Linksys website and get the driver for this. Don't bother with the CD or Windows Update. Just get the driver from Linksys, put it on a flash, then install it on your computer. Worked like a charm after I did this. Its a good wireless card for not too much expense. If you have an open PCI slot, use this. If you want N...good luck with that.

4 out of 5 eggsHardware better than software

Pros: Good signal strength and makes use of the SpeedBooster feature of our Linksys router. Windows can manage this adapter just like any other network adapter. Prefer using a PCI card like this versus having a USB stick protruding from the case.

Cons: Linksys software bundled with the card is hit and miss. Got various regular errors / problems when another USB wireless adapter was also plugged in the machine. Setup process is less user friendly that using Windows to manage network adapters.

Other Thoughts: Overall, pleased for a refurbished product and the discounted price. Freed up a USB wireless stick for use on other PCs. Remember to install drivers from CD or internet (via a different network adapters), prior to installing this card. I used the latest drivers and software from the Linksys website.

3 out of 5 eggslinksys letdown

Pros: Cheap... Works... Sorta... see Cons...
Should of bought something else...

Cons: Connection drops from 54 to 11 mbps... range is short... Windows XP barely works, Windows 7 works a little better... 90 day warranty...

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these cards... one works a little better than the other... still connection speeds drop from 54 to 48 to 36 to 11 mbps and then jumps back up and down again... and gets worst as you go further away from your wireless router... Only buy if you are like 10ft away... Should of bought the Edimax cards, better reviews... this is not work the hassle...
