5 out of 5 eggsSooooo happy I bought this

Pros: Whenever you buy a refurb item you take a small gamble, and I'm so happy to have had this one pay off. This router is simple, sleek and user friendly. It pumps out 300Mbs without breaking a sweat and connect easily to every wireless device I own. I paired this with a Cisco router and must say I'm very pleased with my internet performance.

Cons: I can't think of anything negative to say about this.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid AP

Pros: Not using as a router but as an Access Point
This thing is rock Solid !
Have yet to reboot this AP in my house and it just runs ! Currently have 9 devices running none stop
Streams my video across my HTPC seamlessly

Cons: Only running 2.4 or 5 (guess I could have upgraded to run both at same time)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: fantastic performance
feature set

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Just a fantastic product. Excellent uptime and consistent throughput. I typically get a steady 55 through 70 MBps service from basic TWC inet service. Use signal on 2 1/2 levels including the basement. Router is centrally located on main floor. Great feature to add addl PCs to router. Has never gone down on its own. I just use the 2.4 band. Be AWARE this is not dual band simultaneously. You need to run just one band at a time.

4 out of 5 eggsDD-WRT

Pros: Runs DD-WRT, which is why I purchased this. Easy installation. 2.4 or 5Ghz radio. Cheap. Looks new.

Cons: Runs a little hot, but this can be mitigated with a setting within DD-WRT. No external antenna, but some might find this desirable.

Other Thoughts: Don't know about the stock firmware as I did not use it. But I purchased 2 of these to create a 5GHz bridge. The firmware was easy to install and I have not seen any problems on either unit.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Router at Great Price

Pros: Solid router. Very reliable, rarely have to reset it like I had to with my recently deceased Netgear Gigabit N routher. Have 3 desktops, 4 laptops, 2 PS3s, 2 Xbox360s, 2 Wiis, 3 Ipod touches and 3 andrio smartphones all simultaneously connected without any problems. Great range have router set up in the basement and devices on the 2nd floor still recieve a strong signal. Also works well using my PC as a media server to the PS3s and Xbox360s where my former Netgear N router almost never worked and when it did it was very slow. With the router I'm able to the browse the 20000 songs on my desktop almost as fast I can on my pc directly.

Cons: Finding the list of attached wireless devices is kind of tricky. You have to enable wirless MAC filtering then you have option of clicking on tab that will display all wireless clients. On the plus side it does make setting up MAC filtering easier as you can either set it up by creating a list of MAC that are allowed or creating a list of MAC that are denied but when you bring up the list of wireless clients you can just click on them to add them to your MAC filtering list without having to manual type in MAC addresses like on some other routers. I wouldn't use a router that isn't capable of displaying all the wireless clients connected and was considering returning this unit before I finally figured out how display all attached devices. This being a selectable dual band router makes the dual band feature pretty much worthless because I can't imagine anyone not having legacy 2.4 ghz devices they would need to connect even if they had a 5ghz adapter on their main PC.

Other Thoughts: Don't hesitate picking this router up when the Refurb model is in stock because it is a great deal and the refurb model is often sold out. If you are going to purchase a non refurb model I would recomend going with the E3000 instead because it usually the same price as the non refurb E20000 for some strange reason and it has a USB port for Media Server network hard drive and it is simulatenous dual band making it a usable feature.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat refurb

Pros: Everything works as specified. Easy to setup and amateur friendly.

Cons: Doesn't have some of the same advanced setup features in the firmware that the old netgear did, like attached devices etc.

Other Thoughts: It's still very new, only a week of use, but works great on 2.4Ghz band along with everything else and was a great buy. First refurb buy for me, so I want to see if it lasts as long as a new product. Thanks Newegg :D

4 out of 5 eggsGood price / looks like a new product

Pros: Nice low profile, stable, built in Cisco Connect software is easy to use and makes setup simple.

Cons: No way to access the guest network settings except through Cisco Connect software. Cisco Connect does not have options for setting up 2 or more routers on the same network.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am happy with the product. I purchased two so that I can cover all 3 floors and they appear to be brand new even though they are refurbished. I had some setup problems because the Cisco Connect software can't handle the setup for 2 routers even though I was only setting one up as an access point. I made the manual changes on the routers themselves and everything is working except for the fact that I can't make the built in guest network appear on both routers. The guest networking setup is only available through the Cisco software and once you make manual changes to the router the software doesn't work. It's not a big problem, but I wish I could set up the guest network.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, cheap Gigabit/Wireless N router

Pros: Price is great for four gigabit ethernet ports and 802.11n. Looked brand new even though it is recertified. Works great so far. DD-WRT can be installed very easily. LAN and wireless is faster than my WRT54GC that it replaced.

Cons: Personally dislike Cisco Connect and their built-in router software, but they are easy enough to work with, plus you can install DD-WRT if you don't like them.

Other Thoughts: Range is fine for me; I live in a small apartment and I have full signal strength and speed upstairs and downstairs.

2 out of 5 eggsVery short range

Pros: Easy to set up

Cons: Very short range - about 30' indoors. That's shorter than the 802.11g router it was supposed to replace. Returned as defective but I'm not optimistic.
