2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's cheap and compact.

Cons: It took a lot of tinkering to get the driver to install.
The reception was very poor, I was getting 3/5 bars and the connection barely worked. Websites would load about half way then give up. (Note: I also tried an ASUS wifi adapter that I have, got 5/5 bars, everything was fast) I suppose if your computer is right next to your access point it might work. Otherwise, avoid this one.

Other Thoughts: Got this on a daily deal, like 80% off or so. Now I know why they were trying to get rid of them.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's okay..

Pros: It works and I got it on sale.

Cons: Thing is crummy for installation. Never in my life have I found such a picky device as this. Go figure, Linksys. When Linksys works, it really -WORKS-. When it doesn't, OMJEEZ RUN FAR AWAY! Windows 7 can install a junk printer from 1992 but can't figure this doodad out to save a soul. Took me hours to get the device manager to recognize the 64 bit drivers. It kept telling me that it was already installed, already up to date, when it was definitely not working. Uninstalled it at least 50 times. Finally got it to run by running CCleaner.

In the end, it was worth it, but the amount of time it took.. I'd sure be mad if I paid full price for it.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Disc software didn't support windows 7.
After finding the software for it online, adapter didn't work. 3 rooms from the router, I only get 3 bars. I keep getting disconnected whenever I try to use the internet whilst connected

Other Thoughts: I have no problem whilst connected thru ethernet cable....

1 out of 5 eggsLinksys WUSB54GC

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The software that came with the disc doesn't support windows 7...have find the software for it online(simple).
Didn't work even after downloaded software. I can't confirm if its the adapter or my router thats dropping me from the internet each time im connected. Only 3 Rooms apart from the router and picking up average signal (3-4 bars).

Other Thoughts: My internet works fine whilst connected with an ethernet cable but keeps getting disconnected whilst trying to go wireless with this adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Win 7 drivers

Pros: $7.99 with free shipping. Linksys. Works well.

Cons: Not a con, just an inconvenience, but if you are using Win 7, you will need to download the driver for this device.

Other Thoughts: There are no Win 7 drivers on the install disk. The included Vista driver works if installed manually, running Win 7 ultimate Sp1. Range is acceptable for an adaptor of this type. Connects at nearly max speed of my broadband service, 10.99 Mbs, paying for 12. Happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsFits the Bill

Pros: Installed usb wireless then installed drivers, no software works great leave program alone and use drivers. you will have to hunt for them but if you are savey you will find them.

Cons: should have bought more while on sale "bad on me"

Other Thoughts: sometimes cisco is pickey but you have to be smarter then the average bear... It works good.
