I use this in my dorm room, and all of the ports are being used. All of the devices connected operate fast. All you have to do is connect the incoming Ethernet cable in slot number 1, and put cables in the rest of the slots. That's all there is to it. Cons: it's not really 5 ports, one of the ports must be used for the incoming Ethernet wire. Not worth knocking an egg. Other than that, nothing Other Thoughts: Have had this for about a year and a half now. For a month, i was running a game server off of this switch, with my own computer connected to it as well.
