Pros: the newer versions of these routers are great. don't worry just buy one.
installed several of these over the past few moths, all working great and very fast. +10MB's over a previous model.
feels really solid and well made. love the 4 detachable antennas

Cons: you see some bad comments below but that's likely on the older versions of this router.

Other Thoughts: I had the version 1 router and it was junk, kept disconnecting and rebooting. But Linksys made good on fixing my problem. They sent me a version 2 model that replaced the old version 1. The router has been has been very reliable and fast. Linksys did go out of their way to make me happy, which they did.

Pros: looks cool, brought back the old wrt look

Cons: drops all WiFi connections all day at random
drops wired connections
poor warranty

Other Thoughts: I got this product when came out, so I have a V1, since the day I bought it my WiFi would always drop in and out, no big deal, its got 2 bands so I would just switch back and forth when that happened. I thought I would be patient and wait,maybe a firmware update will fix this, Now, after is just out of the short 1 year warranty, it has been giving me wired connection issues, and both bands still drop in and out. I went to linksys forums for some kind of clarity and most people say the same thing, there is even admission by linksys techs saying that the V1 products are bad. I called and talked with them, just wanting a replacement v2, told them Id pay for shipping and even a slight premium if needed, They just offered no help, because you only have 90days for tech support, then you have to pay yearly fees to have it. or I could just buy a new one, and use this one as a paper weight. with only a 1 year on replacement and 90 days on free help they must not be to confident with the product that are making. My old wrt54g is still here working fine, after 14 years, its just not as fast. What went wrong?

Pros: UPDATE: Got this router almost as soon as it came out and have had no problems since. Got a new adapter card the ASUS AC68. Had trouble with the Beta drivers (Win 10), would not connect with 5GHz but shifted to the non-Beta drivers and everything is happy now. This thing never drops and I never have to reset it. MOST stable router I have ever owned. With 3 computers, 2 smart phones, 2 tablets, thermostat, carmeras, Fire TV, cromcast and host of other things this router never skips a beat. Would buy again!

The range and speed. My old router was getting bogged down with to many things connected to it. WOW what a difference I can now walk to the street and still have signal. Before I would step out of the house and I lost signal. Everything is responding much faster. Happy with the difference this has made to my system.

Cons: Needs more ethernet ports in the back. Expensive but with gift cards I had recieved brought it down to a resonable cost so I went top notch.

Other Thoughts: UPDATE: Now I have an AC adapter card so I get 700+Mb connection in the basement on the other side of the house from the router(Upstairs).

I wanted a router I could have for many years without going obsolete quickly. The cable internet even at its highest speed is quite a bit under the top speed of this unit. The WiFi adaperter will be next because my computer will only do 300Mbs...but I'll take my time because cable will only do 110Mbs (comcast). Don't have time to play with it right now but soon I'll have time then I'll put up another review.

Pros: Never realized my tier III service was so fast. Had been using a modem/router; bad idea. The WRT1900AC was extremely easy to set up with the exception of my old HP P1102w which just needed new drivers (and updated 10/15 firmware if you have this printer. HP has it). Very nice to have so much control over the network. I was a full-on GNU/Linux geek for many years but I'm perfectly content with the operation of the WRT1900AC and doubt I'll fiddle it.
As already stated, it is very nice to get the absolute full benefit of 30Mbps down and 5Mbps up.

Cons: None at all and I'm very "surprised" by some of the "complaints", if ya know what I mean.

Pros: Fast speeds, reliable, attractive design, range is great, open source capable

Cons: Factory software is very basic and weak, but dwrt fixes that

Pros: Simple interface

Cons: Drops connections
Wifi is a joke

Other Thoughts: Let me tell you this: my wife started complaining about wifi at some point. At first I thought it was my ISP's fault, but I decided to do few speed tests with my laptop using wifi and ethernet. Guess what? Ethernet works JUST FINE. Wifi sucks dirty word.

I need to find something more reliable. Are real cisco product any better? Belkin made a disaster device.

Pros: Very fast when it works

Cons: Disconnect 5ghz at least once a day. went through 2 routers and it does the same thing. Support is a joke and not very helpful

Other Thoughts: I since bought a Asus RT-AC68U, and all my problems went away. Sad thing is my Linksys WUMC710 works better with the Asus than with Linksys router.

Pros: Has been a great rock solid router. No issues or complaints with current firmware.

Great range and features

Cons: USB 3.0 failed recently - about 6 months outside the warranty. It will recognize any drives but looses the drive when you try to write to it. Tried firmware and a reset, did not work. Belkin / Linksys to my shock only put a 1 year warranty on one of the most expensive routers made. Seems they did not have a lot of confidence in the reliability either

The 3.0 port was important to me so will have to sell it off, noting that it has a defective port since customer service said I was outta luck

Looks like I will be going to Asus / they appear to have a 2 year warranty at least.
