Great Boost
- Pros: Boosts signal strength
- Cons: Won't order pizza on its own.
- Other Thoughts: It's a great quick fix for any problems with low signal in your wifi system. Had problems within a house and at our church with signal loss. This took care of both issues by boosting it enough that I went from random drops to full strength. It's worth the money spent.
Awesome
- Pros: I purchased this to attempt to make an antenna out of an old prime-star satellite dish. It worked according to benchmarks. I saw a considerable amount of difference between this, a USB antenna, and a Hawking. D-Link won hands down.
Tried it as WAP for my Dlink 4300 (gamefuel router) and it will transmit to the moon. Actually had to cut down signal, it increased the range that much.
For folks saying it doesn't work, it makes me wonder what type of environment they used it in. Lots of concrete, brick, and obstructions in general greatly decrease any signal. Found this out being that this is the 8th antenna (and last) I have purchased. Came back to newegg.com to order another one for my office.
This antenna also has the longest cable on the market (RP-SMA type) as well as a Type N adapter is included.
- Cons: None so far, original purchase didn't have the huge rebate like this one!
- Other Thoughts: The Type N adapter makes it easy if you want to buy any extension cables. Just make sure you check the ohms of what you buy before hand. Been a great antenna to experiment with as well as use it in "real life."
