4 out of 5 eggsSimply Easy

Pros: Plug and play for me with zero effort

Cons: Doesn't come with an Ethernet cable. I mean even a 1ft cable would be a plus.

Other Thoughts: I run a D-Link modem, D-Link router and now this switch. Can't say anyone on the network have noticed and for me thats what matters.

1 out of 5 eggsD-Link has shady policies - beware

Pros: Switch worked well in the beginning.

Cons: One port died after 6 months, a 2nd died recently (1 1/2 years after purchase). I am in the middle of the RMA process right now, and D-Link is trying to charge me $12 because I don't have the original driver CD to return. They expect the customer to save a $0.05 driver CD when it is best to download the newest drivers on the web. I chuck them in the trash right away, and a ton of people do that, and D-Link knows it. Thus their policy to legally steal from their customers. This is a shady policy put in place to discourage returns and to pick the pockets of their customers. Unbelievable!

Other Thoughts: I am a person of honor and expect the same from companies I give my money to. I will never buy from D-Link again.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Switch

Pros: Small, lightweight, inexpensive. Just plug and play. No software needed, no setup prompts to mess with. Generates very little heat and fits neatly on top of my Blu-ray player.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I used it with my laptop (until the Mobo died last week), and my Blu-ray player. I use the player for access to Netflix and it has worked flawlessly the whole time. I have the switch on the end of a 50ft Cat6 cable hooked up to a D-Link Xtreme router. I have had no issues with the router and the switch. It took me less than a minute to take the switch out of the box and connect it to all of my peripheral devices.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Home Theater

Pros: I'm using this to split one port on my router to a Samsung LED TV, Panasonic BluRay, Tivo and a Denon receiver. It is small and fits nicely in the entertainment center. All devices connect without problems. It's a great inexpensive solution for network enabled A/V devices. No setup required. Just plug it in and she bangs.

Cons: None.
