This review is from: D-Link DGE-530T Gigabit Desktop Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45
Pros: - Easy to Install - Works Very well once Drivers are Installed - Reasonably Priced - Came with 1 Extra Plate for smaller Desktop Computers
Cons: - Not a Plug and Play card so far I've seen
Other Thoughts: - I'd recommend it as a replacement card if the Intrigrated Nic Burnt up and this as a Replacement - I'd buy this one again if it broke for whatever reason

Pros: Works with Linux. Dropped it into my ClearOS based router box and changed a few settings and it works.
Cons: Could have cost less, been worth more, cured cancer, cleaned the air, fixed the hole in the ozone layer, generated clean power, fed the poor among other things but it didn't.
Other Thoughts: Turned an old 2.8Ghz P4 into a router. 3GB of ram in a intel board with dual NIC's. Sadly one was gigabit while the other was only a 10/100. dropped this in and the whole thing is great. It's humming away in a closet right now.

Pros: So far, extremely satisfied with the card. Easy to install (as you would expect from a PCI card) and worked on first boot in my FreeBSD-based server. I also received it overnight, wich is a plus! -Easy to install -No drivers required -Gigabyte speed! -Good price!
Cons: Virtually none.

Pros: Easy to install.
Makes use of a good ol' PCI slot.
Does NOT use a Realtek "cheapset," uses a more robust Marvell chipset instead.
Gigabit speed.
Cons: Correct driver download from the D-Link website is confusing, what appeared to the the correct version led to a dead link. Finally just resorted to the older driver on the included disc and stayed with that.
Not an Intel chipset, but it's also not $50 more expensive.
Other Thoughts: I bought this as a standby unit to replace integrated motherboard NICs as the ubiquitous Realtek NIC chipsets seem to die time-after-time.
Sure enough, within 2 months another motherboard NIC died and this card was pressed into service. Once the correct driver version was resolved, this has been plugging along for about 4 months now with no issues so far.

Pros: Low price, good when it works.
Cons: This card worked as it should for years in an XP machine. That machine has since been retired and we had the need for it in a Win 2008 Server. Once installed the card began flashing "network cable unplugged" on and off - over and over again.
For anyone with similar issues - we fixed the issue by changing the advanced setting for the card with the "Configure" button | advanced tab | Speed & Duplex - change from Auto to 100 Mbps Half Duplex. Of course this means you will not be getting 1000 Mbps.
Other Thoughts: The only driver on their web site that would install was the 9.15.2.3 from 1/10/2007 - none of the other newer drivers would work.
Hope this helps someone.

Pros: Very cheap GB NIC that I have had no initial setup and uptime issues with. 5 stars when it comes to price and manageability.
Cons: I had bought one of these cards a few months back and noticed that the drive supported NIC Teaming. So I bought this exact same card again, through it in my home server, and the new card comes with a new driver that does NOT support the NIC Teaming option. So I tried installing the driver I received with the other (identical) NIC I ordered a few months back and BSOD! Had to remove the drive and use the new one to make it functional. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed that the main reason I bought a second one of these cards, it wouldn't even work.
Other Thoughts: 2 NICs are still better than one, so I just made one NIC my Management Port and the other NIC my Primary Data Port. If the NIC Teaming function would have worked with these cards (like the original NIC/driver showed) I would have definitly gave it 5 stars!
